About Aberlour Glasgow Intensive Family Support Service (IFSS)(City Wide)…
Aberlour will be working in partnership with the Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership and other Third Sector providers to promote the wellbeing of children and young people by offering caring and responsive support. Aberlour Glasgow Intensive Family Support will deliver the support families need, when they need it. The aim of the service is to ensure that children and young people can continue to flourish at home, at school and in their local community.
What we are looking for....
As a Family Support Worker working 26.25 hours per week, you will work directly with families to nurture relationships, build on existing strengths and interests, help children and families build skills and confidence and strengthen community connections. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team that works for a period of up to 12 months with families to support and enable positive change and improve outcomes. Our ambition is to help children, young people and families feel safe, confident, capable, and included, offering support when it is needed, including evenings and weekends. We believe in working alongside families, empowering them to lead positive change in their own lives.
We are looking for candidates who are experienced in working alongside vulnerable families to assess strengths and needs as well as plan, deliver and evaluate interventions and strategies which enable families to thrive. You will have experience of child and adult protection issues. Experience of working within other childcare settings such as Residential Child Care will be considered.
You must share our vision that collaborative working and relationship based early intervention is the best option for children and families who are feeling overwhelmed or excluded. Ideally you will hold a relevant professional qualification at SCQF level 7 or above, together with relevant experience of working directly with children or young people and their families. Not afraid to test new ways of working, you will bring a fresh, caring, and collaborative approach which recognises strengths and responds empathically to the needs of children, young people, and their families – this will include early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
To succeed in this role, you will need to work flexibly within a variety of locations across Glasgow City, including family homes, schools, and community settings.

Based on the needs of the family, this includes supporting morning and bedtime routines in the family’s home and offering a variety of sessions and groups for children and young people which also help them to access activities in the community.
This specialised service enables the children and young people to grow and develop – access their local area, broaden their experiences and provide new opportunities which not only meet their needs but encourage them to flourish in a safe nurturing way.

What we are looking for....
We know how difficult it can be managing your work/life balance, and so we are offering flexible hours to work at weekends either on a Saturday or a on a Sunday or working on both days at the weekend. Work hours would range from 5 hours to 15 hours.
As part of a small team, you will ensure that the highest level of physical and emotional care is provided to the children and young people. Experience in this type of work is preferred however we will consider all applications. Full details of rota requirements will be discussed at interview.

We are looking for a new member of the team to work 37.5 hours per week. These will be variable working hours, including evenings and weekends, over a 7 day period.

FASS is a Glasgow wide charity that supports families affected by a loved one’s alcohol and/or drug misuse. We provide 1 to 1 support to individuals in the community and at our office base. We are looking to expand our Family Support Practitioner Team with a highly motivated, creative, flexible and empathetic person. This individual must be a good communicator and be passionate about supporting people to a better place.
A focus will be on Mental Health, Wellbeing, building resilience and a tool kit to support their loved one on a recovery journey. These sessions may provide emotional support, practical support, information sharing, signposting and supporting people into the community to information events, other charities or into groups. You will liaise with other professionals and benefit from positive professional relationships amongst ADP and recovery communities.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our Abuse and Trauma Recovery service in Renfrewshire. The service is part of the partnership, Women and Children First with Renfrewshire Council. The service works alongside children and young people who have experienced Domestic Abuse and/or Sexual Abuse and their families and aims to support recovery and improved emotional wellbeing.

Base
