Role
Colinton and Juniper Green Parish Churches are looking for a part-time Pastoral Care Development Worker to visit and support elderly members of our congregations. This post will suit someone with enthusiasm and initiative who is looking for part-time employment working with elderly people in a Church context.
Colinton and Juniper Green are suburban parishes in the South-West of Edinburgh. The two parishes will be uniting later in 2024 and the Pastoral Care Development Worker will cover both parishes.
The activities of the Pastoral Care Development Worker will include home visits, visits to Care Homes, and activities in a Church context such as morning or afternoon teas for groups of elderly people.
This is a permanent post starting from a mutually agreed starting date in Spring or Summer 2024. The post is part-time, 18 hours per week. The weekly working pattern is negotiable. The salary will be £13500 per annum (£26250 pro-rata).

We are seeking a full time family worker who is passionate about developing and delivering a family programme at Church House.
The main role is to develop the family programme of activities, provide support for family groups and individual families, to meet their ongoing needs.
This is a unique role with high-levels of responsibility in an exciting environment.
We would require you to work alongside a vibrant and enthusiastic staff team and volunteers.
The successful applicant will be required to be(come) a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Scheme and the appointment will be subject to a satisfactory PVG Scheme Disclosure and references. We will not take up references until a job offer is made.
