Role

As a NED on the Board of Directors, you’ll work with the Board and the Senior Management team to set, evolve and communicate the future company strategy, at all times, acting on behalf of the Shareholder.

As a Board Member, you’ll be responsible for ensuring good governance and a strong focus on the delivery of high standards of care for our service users.

Requirements

The post holder needs to hold as a minimum:

  • Educated to degree level (or equivalent knowledge)
  • Significant senior leadership experience gained within a health and social care environment, with a sound knowledge of social care
  • Experience of working in a governance environment

Responsibilities

The post holder is expected to demonstrate:

  • Strategic planning, financial risk and performance management skills and expertise gained ideally in a public or third sector environment
  • Probing, challenging and innovative strategic thinking
  • A drive to establish and sustain high levels of performance for the company
  • Governance, assurance and risk management skills and techniques
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Gravitas and credibility to quickly gain the trust and buy-in of all stakeholders.
  • Strong moral and ethical standards
  • Creative and bold thinking, willing to challenge the status quo
