Joining us at this exciting time will also give the responsibility for creating and leading the vision and strategic planning to boost Manorview Foundation for success in 2024 - 2026 and beyond, enabling the Foundation Lead to make a discernible impact.

About the role

Leading the charity with vision, the Foundation Lead will provide strategic leadership to the charity and the dedicated and talented Manorview team, and will be responsible for driving the strategic plan, targets and fundraising to realise our objective to make life better through hospitality.

You will embody our core values. You will be: welcoming, empathetic, inclusive, respectful and empowering.

The post is based at our HQ in Howwood but will require significant travel across the Manorview estate across West and Central Scotland.

About the charity

The Manorview Foundation was established in 2022 to bring the care, happiness and comfort that hospitality offers, to those who are affected by poverty.

The Foundation has been developing to use the skills, qualities and experience available within the incredible team at Manorview Group facilities to make life better for people living in challenging circumstances. We have established a Community Hub in Coatbridge, Lanarkshire, delivered holiday activity programmes and Christmas parties for thousands of children. We wish to use the relationships within our team and our corporate partnerships to drive forward our strategic action plan and create more opportunities for those who would benefit most.

The Manorview Foundation will harness the skills, knowledge and connections of the Manorview team to support people living in poverty.

Person Specification

Essential

  • Commitment to the aims and ethos of the Manorview Foundation and a desire to bring about positive change in the communities and people who are targeted as a priority for the Foundation;
  • Good leadership skills and the ability to enthuse, motivate and develop a team to deliver results;
  • Proven track record of securing funding in a tough financial climate, particularly through trust and foundation applications;
  • Excellent experience in financial management and budget development skills;
  • Experience in leading change management;
  • Ability to think strategically and to communicate the strategic vision;
  • Excellent all round communication skills and relationship management abilities;
  • Personal drive, energy, integrity, adaptability and responsibility.

Desirable

  • Understanding of key issues affecting people living in areas of deprivation and related policy and legislation;
  • Marketing and PR experience;
  • Understanding of the voluntary and community sector in Scotland and the issues it faces.
