Barnardo's Safer Choices is a specialist service targeted specifically at children and young people aged 18 years and under who are involved in or are at risk of involvement in child exploitation/extra familial harm.
The service makes contact with children and young people via a range of methods including street work, through outreach and group work in residential schools, children's houses and in mainstream schools as well as engaging in intensive 1:1 support.
The service also conducts return discussions with young people who have returned from being missing and the post holder for this role will take primary responsibility for facilitating these return discussions.
It is anticipated that the post holder will engage with children and young people in a variety of settings including, the family home, school, and where appropriate residential children's houses.
We are looking to recruit to this position and would welcome applicants who are available to consider both part time and full-time hours. This post is also open to a secondment opportunity - You must have your line managers agreement before applying.
