Role

This is an opportunity to work with an experienced and dedicated team providing support to the Roma community and residents of Govanhill.

The Welfare Rights Officer will provide a full benefits service in terms of supporting the client to access their benefit entitlement and will provide the Service User with appeals and tribunal services with representation to the highest level. The welfare rights officer will also deal with complex welfare benefits issues on behalf of the service users.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work and support this very vulnerable and isolated client group. Language skills would be an advantage.

You will require to manage a full & comprehensive caseload in a busy office environment.

The position is based in Govanhill but you may be required to attend outreaches throughout the city.
