Establish accessible tech and comms to create the robust infrastructure we need to increase our capacity for communication and networking.
1. To develop our website structure and facilitate or train Core Group members and Associates:
2. provide social media and design support:
While much of the work may be managed virtually, there would be a requirement for face-to-face meetings in the Scottish Central belt.
Context
The Core Group (who direct the Secure Scotland project) are not paid or employed, but they are all individuals who are responsible, experienced and are currently active in related campaigning and political spheres.
We use consultants or services (for which we pay) to meet some of our needs, and UN House provides support and charitable oversight. UN House interns may assist with administrative tasks and act as Associates to the Core Group.
The Core Group members also implement our activities, but at present we have inadequate technical capacity to fully realize much of our planned work. For this reason, we seek to engage an experienced consultant to carry out paid work as outlined below.
While it is not a condition attached to engaging a suitable person at a fee, we would ideally welcome someone who could fill the technical gap in our collective capacity of the Core Group and improve our connections to developing and current communication trends.
We would particularly welcome hearing from persons of colour, those with experience of immigration or other new Scots.
Please check out our Website and social media (Facebook / Twitter). To discuss the post informally with a Core Group member before applying, please email secretary@securescotland.scot
Applications addressing the areas of competence required are sought from suitable experienced/qualified persons in writing to secretary@securescotland.scot, along with an indication of fees expected with a daily or hourly rate, to be received before midnight on Thursday 9th September.
