Role

Passmores House is a residential recovery community for people with a dependency on drugs and/or alcohol, we offer residential detoxification and stabilisation packages, as well a full rehabilitation programme, all built around the individual. The house is based in a beautifully renovated and historic building, set in a leafy park close to the transport hub of Harlow in Essex.

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic candidate to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity to work with people who are affected by offending and substance misuse within a residential rehabilitative environment. WDP Passmores House are able to deliver high quality services including specialist prescribing services, rapid access to treatment, and other health and wellbeing interventions to better equip individuals to improve their physical and mental health. This position requires a nurse with appropriate and valid registration with the NMC and experience of working with individuals who use alcohol / substances.

We are currently looking for nurses who would like to gain experience in the developing area of detoxification from alcohol and those with complex needs from use of the new wave of psychoactive drugs as well as opiate detoxification and stabilisation. As our clients present with a multitude of both physical and Psychological challenging problems, we are offering excellent on the job training in house as well as the chance of further courses once the probationary period is completed satisfactorily.

Good communication skills written and verbal are essential. Confidence to work as part of a multidisciplinary team with an interest and commitment in group work. Participation in the units group programme is a requirement as team working is essential.
