The Role

The Fundraising Lead role at MND Scotland is crucial in delivering this vision. This position offers a unique opportunity for an experienced, creative and strategic-minded fundraiser to drive the charities fundraising efforts. The Fundraising Lead will be responsible for developing and implementing fundraising strategies, including overseeing the planning, execution, and evaluation of fundraising campaigns, cultivating and stewarding relationships, and identifying opportunities for growth and expansion. Additionally, the role involves working closely in a team, and managing the Fundraising Coordinator, coaching them in good practice, motivating them to compliment campaigns and promote a collaborative working culture.

The ideal candidate for this role will bring a proven track record in successful fundraising within the charitable sector, demonstrating the ability to secure financial support and meet/exceed set targets. As a strategic thinker with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the Fundraising Lead will excel in stakeholder engagement, have a strong understanding of fundraising principles, and provide effective solutions, all whilst being an ambassador for MND Scotland. Although management experience is not essential, you must have experience in Trusts or Legacy.

We are looking for a Communications Officer to support our team in Scotland to respond to Scottish media enquiries, delivering campaigns to influence health policy and support our fundraising and engagement comms activity.

Reporting to the PR Manager, the role will help deliver key media campaigns that call for change to support people to rebuild their lives after stroke.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Working as a team to deliver a proactive, effective and 24/7 press office, building relationships with identified media and opinion formers, and ensure timely media responses based on organisational and reputational priorities.
• Working with the Campaigns and Public Affairs team to deliver influencing activity to key health board stakeholders, Stroke Association campaigners and the general public.
• Working with the Stories team to identify and deploy the real stories of the stroke survivors we work for.

You will have experience of:

• Generating media coverage in Scotland, ideally in the charity sector.
• Using media to deliver calls to action to the public (eg donating, fundraising, campaigning) and/or decision makers (eg policy change).
• Planning, executing and monitoring media plans against identified briefs and overarching objectives.
• Working alongside Policy and Public Affairs colleagues.
• Creating, posting, and managing social media content.
• Reputation management and working with crisis communications teams.
• Working with colleagues from across an organisation to identify media volunteers (case studies) and developing stories to deliver media coverage.

This role requires occasional travel across the UK to attend team days, conferences and researcher events. Candidates must be able to meet this requirement of the role.

The ALLIANCE is excited to be recruiting a Senior Development Officer – Integration.

The Senior Development Officer role will work to deliver the strategic aims of the ALLIANCE. This includes an emphasis on the voice of lived experience, person-centredness and human rights. The ALLIANCE will be working with an increased focus on Health and Social Care Integration, the National Care Service, human rights incorporation and SNAP 2, and the National Performance Framework. The post holder will:

• Enhance the capacity of different stakeholders to engage with and contribute to health and social care integration with a focus on third sector and people with lived experience of accessing health and social care.
• Facilitate connections across the third sector.
• Enhance opportunities for peer learning, reflective practice and outcomes focused activity across the third sector and for the involvement of people with lived experience in shaping integrated health and social care in Scotland.

The successful candidate for this role should have:

• Educated to degree level or equivalent through experience
• Experience of relationship building and partnership working
• Excellent communication skills including report writing and delivering presentations
• Good leadership and organisational skills
• IT skills in word processing, email, internet, databases and presentations
• Experience of carrying out social research and consultation
• Experience of organising and facilitating workshops, groups and events
