Role

Engage Renfrewshire is recruiting for an experienced Finance Officer to join their friendly team.

The role would suit a self-motivated and enthusiastic individual familiar with Year-End Processing, Account Reconciliation, and Sage Payroll Package. Engage Renfrewshire offers flexible working, as well as a generous annual leave package, and Work Place Pension.

PURPOSE

To promote and develop the Book-keeping service Engage Renfrewshire offer to Third Sector Organisations.

MAIN DUTIES

  • Nominal and bank reconciliations in line with financial policies and procedures
  • General Book-keeping and ledger
  • Assist with development and completion of funding applications and financial procurement opportunities
  • Review of systems ensuring they are the most efficient for client base
  • Support the Service Level Agreements for Accountancy Services to external clients
  • Assist with year end processes and preparation of audit pack
  • Communicating effectively on a daily basis with internal and external customers
  • Ensuring the timely investigation and resolution of queries/issues

ADDITIONAL DUTIES

It is in the nature of the work of Engage Renfrewshire that tasks and responsibilities are often unpredictable and varied. All staff are expected to work in a flexible way when occasionally tasks arise which are not specifically covered by a job description. These additional tasks will normally be to cover unforeseen circumstances of changes in work and will normally be compatible with the jobholder’s regular area of work. If the additional duties become a regular or frequent part of the jobholder’s duties it may be included in their job description in consultation with the member of staff.
