Role

CEMVO Scotland is a national intermediary organization and strategic partner of the Scottish Government with the aim of building the capacity of the ethnic minority voluntary sector and its communities.

We are seeking a professional person with good project management skills to further develop and promote our EM environmental network (EMEN) and to align this with a new Environmental Race Equality Programme that we will be initiating in April 2022. Your main role will involve being hands on in helping to deliver and co-ordinate the successful delivery of these two projects towards their outcomes while also leading on improving the marketing of the EMEN so that it can attract new members and also increase member engagement with key environmental stakeholders.

You will have extensive knowledge of climate change issues with the ability to engage with and contribute effectively to environmental policy development.

You will also need to have excellent all-round skills in digital marketing, including website content development, social media posting, production of podcasts and blogs, and other digital promotional channels.

It will also be important that you have a strong understanding and commitment towards race equality as both projects will be addressing racial inequalities, with the aim of ensuring that the environment sector is inclusive, both internally as organisations and in their approach to addressing climate change.
