As Director of Stakeholder Engagement and Fundraising, your role is to provide strategic vision and leadership to the direction and development of MND Scotland’s stakeholder engagement and fundraising activities.
Everything we do, and the way in which we do it, puts the MND Community at our core, so you will ensure that we engage, involve, and represent people affected by MND consistently and appropriately whilst also developing mutually beneficial partnerships and supporter relationships. In addition, your focus will be to influence key decision makers to ensure the highest quality of life, and dignity in death, for people with MND.
You will lead, develop, and proactively set the agenda for the organisation’s external engagement activities via ambitious media and campaign plans. You will also take responsibility for the long-term growth and sustainability of income generation at MND Scotland, embracing innovation and accelerating income growth across a diverse range of income streams.
Being an inspiring and innovative leader, you will encourage a strong fundraising culture across the organisation. You will also be responsible for ensuring robust and healthy stakeholder engagement in order for us to fulfil our charitable objectives.
As a member of the Executive Leadership team (ELT) you will work strategically and collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders to support the development and implementation of our strategic and business planning processes. This role is about shaping, embedding, and delivering organisational strategy across the charity, and identifying opportunities to positively impact all of our beneficiaries. By significantly increasing the number of people we engage with and the income we raise, you will be a driving force behind the growth of the charity. As a result, you are likely to have a strong passion and commitment to help improve the lives of people affected by MND across Scotland.

Cancer Support Specialist

Ayrshire Cancer Support has operated since 1982, providing emotional support and practical help to those affected by cancer; this role will play a valuable part in supporting the services we offer.
As we continue to grow our services to meet increasing demand, we are seeking a caring and compassionate professional with excellent communication skills, who will support those affected by cancer who access our services. With your clinical experience, you will support the wider team with complex situations to achieve the very best person-centred support. You will be methodical, empathetic, resilient, and be able to manage the demands of ongoing emotionally intense work.
You will be a qualified and registered nurse or allied health professional with at least three years post qualification experience in an oncology setting. You will be passionate about delivering face to face, accessible cancer support in a local community setting, while remaining abreast of the national cancer landscape.
Reporting to our Director of Care Services, you will be joining an established and experienced team and will be responsible for providing expert patient information and support to help meet the emotional, practical and social needs of people affected by cancer. This varied role will also support a small team of volunteers that provide level one support to people affected by cancer.
This is a part time role based over 28 hours (4 days) per week, worked between Monday to Friday within our Support Centres in Kilmarnock and Ayr, and so a driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential.
This role offers a 3-year fixed term contract, funded by the National Lottery.

The Programme Lead for Scotland will be an entrepreneurial, driven and creative leader responsible for the development and delivery of key national programmes, ensuring that lived experience is at the heart. Working with the Director for Scotland and colleagues across Carers Trust, they will lead and line manage a small staff team to deliver ambitiously against programme objectives, creating a supportive team culture that promotes creativity, innovation and autonomy.

Our psychology team within the organisation is continuing to grow, demonstrating their value and importance to our ever evolving services and support. We are looking for a Clinical Psychologist to lead on this work in our West of Scotland teams and take an active leadership role within the organisation. The key focus of this role will be to support the organisation to continue to implement psychologically informed environment principles and trauma informed care, creating and maintaining psychological safety for all. This work will be carried out under the supervision of a Prinicipal Clinical Psychologist external to Simon Community Scotland. The job plan will be agreed with the Director of Services, working independently within the framework, policies and procedures of the organisation. The job plan will cover both direct and indirect work, with more focus on indirect, it is an opportunity to use the range of skills of a Clinical Psychologist; leadership, formulation, consultation, supervision, research and service development. The job will include working across different services in the West of Scotland, including supported accommodation, community support hubs and outreach.
