About the Role
In this role, you will be an integral member of the support and care team contributing to and ensuring the high
quality of support and care for individuals within the Dunipace Service. You will assist the Service Coordinator
in assisting and managing the daily facilitation within the service operations,
Within the Dunipace Service specifically we provide flexible support to individuals within their own homes who have
learning disabilities, mental health conditions, Autistic Spectrum Conditions or a combination of these. Our
role is to support and develop these individuals to enable these individuals to live as independently as
possible within the community. Whilst the role can be challenging due to these complex needs, it offers
excellent job satisfaction due to the value of the support you provide.
About You
We are looking for dedicated and enthusiastic, energetic, fun and caring individuals to join our team here at the
newly developing Dunipace Service.
The individuals we support within this service all have their own specific interests and needs, however a common
theme is that they all enjoy a day out. Whether that be simply a walk in the park or a coffee out they all would
agree there is nothing better than an adventure away from the doors.
They want individual people to come and join the team who will treat them as individuals, take them places they wish
and do things with them that they enjoy doing.
As individuals they all like different things - however they are all enjoying getting their homes how they want them
as it has been a long time since they had their own place to call home.
The people we support here, like us all, can have days where they are not as upbeat and up for the fun things in
life.These are the days when they probably need us the most and the great support we provide to them, we will
ensure that you are enriched with the specific knowledge for all of the supported individuals to ensure you know
how to respond in any given situation with the supported individuals, to support them through any difficult days
they may face.
If you hold an SVQ 2 qualification in Care or a related field in line with the SSSC registration criteria this could
be the opportunity for you.
It is essential you are able to work shifts which will include weekend working and evenings.
