Young People’s Supported Accommodation Service

The Housing Services Manager in our Young Peoples Supported Accommodation Service is a critical role within our organisation, providing an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced manager to manage an established and experienced team in delivering high quality housing supports, as well as maintaining key funder and partner relationships.

The role involves managing a small, supported accommodation unit, and an outreach housing support service for young people in Elgin. This involves managing and supporting a skilled team of support staff to ensure the efficient and safe delivery of outcome focused services to vulnerable people.

Candidates should have extensive experience of Housing Services, managing staff, a practical knowledge of budgeting and monitoring systems and be IT literate. They should also be able to evidence effective partnership working and excellent communication skills. The successful candidate should have experience of creating service opportunities through working closely with funders and other stakeholders to identify and design new business opportunities.

The Housing Services Manager will be part of Sacro’s senior management team and as such must be capable of building effective working relationships across the organisation and contributing to key strategic objectives by being part of working groups, tender submissions, and project teams to contribute to the future development of Sacro.

It is essential the post holder is educated to at least SCQF Level 8 or above (Higher/SVQ Level 4 or above). Ideally the successful candidate will hold the necessary qualifications to be a Registered Manager with the Scottish Social Services Council and or hold appropriate social care qualifications at SCQF level 8 or above (SVQ level 4 or above).

Membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme will be a requirement for this post.
