Role

The Glasgow Canal Co-op is a member led organisation which acts as facilitator and project instigator for a diverse range of members located by the Forth & Clyde Canal in north Glasgow between Port Dundas and Firhill Basin. Our members range from voluntary community organisations, social enterprises and cultural institutions to public bodies. It includes Scottish Opera, The National Theatre of Scotland, Glasgow Sculpture Studios, Agile City, Pinkston Watersports, The Loading Bay Skatepark and Queens Cross Housing Association. The canalside has a wealth of assets with a unique heritage, tranquil green spaces and walkways focused around the Hamiltonhill Claypits Local Nature Reserve.

The Co-op works within its finite resource and capacity to deliver a handful of projects each year which support members to engage in funded projects which work with and have impact on their respective communities.

The role

We are looking to recruit a Project Manager who can coordinate and lead on the delivery of existing funded projects and help to secure funds for future projects. The job will focus around the following four areas:

  • Leadership & Project Delivery
  • Funding
  • Communication
  • Administration
