Role

This is an exciting time to join Victim Support Scotland, and you will have a real opportunity to influence the people agenda. You will be responsible for workforce planning including recruitment, onboarding, and training activities.

You will also be responsible for ensuring that the day-to-day people policies and processes are in place, compliant with legal requirements and fully implemented and understood across the organisation.

You will be responsible for the HR and Learning and Development support throughout the employee lifecycle for the staff and volunteers across the organisation. Being comfortable to get hands on with staff to understand the challenges they face and being able to support them is critical, while also being able to provide sound and practical advice to the leadership team.

You will be required to analyse and report on all areas of HR to the leadership team to identify areas of focus. This role has two direct reports: HR Officer and Learning and Development Officer.

You should be MCIPD qualified or have equivalent relevant experience, demonstrable previous experience of managing a successful HR team, have been part of a leadership team and be able to demonstrate a good understanding of the charity sector.
