Scottish Huntington’s Association is the only charity in the country exclusively dedicated to providing expert and personalised support for those impacted by Huntington’s disease when they need it, regardless of where they live.
Organised, motivated and a confident communicator, you’ll be responsible for driving income and building relationships throughout the West Coast of Scotland, to ensure we have the funds needed to deliver our specialist services for every family impacted by this devastating disease. We welcome applicants from a variety of backgrounds including (but not limited to) account management, marketing, fundraising, event management, or sales, and candidates who live permanently in any of the following areas: Glasgow, Renfrewshire, Lanarkshire or Ayrshire.
From supporter stewardship, event management, delivering inspiring presentations, and managing volunteers, no week will be the same. The Community and Events Fundraising Officer (West Coast of Scotland) will be joining a hard-working and talented fundraising team, working closely with our Head of Income Generation and Senior Community, Event & Individual Giving Fundraising Officer, as well as our Community and Events Fundraising Officer (East Coast of Scotland), our Communications team and the wider SHA team.
We are looking for an engaging, passionate and tenacious person who can deliver strong, cost effective and sustainable income growth for the charity, along with excellent and engaging copy writing skills, proficient admin and organisational skills, experienced at developing professional relationships and can manage a busy and varied workload. This is a chance for you to channel your varied skills, qualities, and passion for relationship building to improve the lives of families impacted by Huntington’s disease in Scotland.

Job Summary
As our Front of House Manager, you will be the welcoming face of our organisation, ensuring that every visitor, no matter their reason for coming into our building are welcomed and treated in line with our values which are kindness and compassion, being honest and inclusive. You will manage and oversee all aspects of the Hospice front of house operations including reception, in house events, housekeeping, coffee shop and catering services, volunteers, and team management. You will also oversee our Contemplation space, learning and teaching events, ad hoc special events, deliveries and donations. You will create a front of house operation that is courteous, efficient, consistent, and professional whilst providing a welcoming and uplifting experience for patients, visitors, and the public. The Ayrshire Hospice is therefore seeking an individual to fill the position of Technical Support Supervisor, who, working with the Head of Facilities and Property Management and the facilities team, will enable this to happen.
The Technical Support Supervisor will report directly to the Head of Facilities & Property Management and will assist in the delivery of a responsive and effective facilities management service.
The individual will have a good knowledge of facilities management, preferably in a health care setting, and will have experience of conducting general repairs. They will also have the skills necessary to diagnose and co-ordinate the corrective actions required on all aspects of; mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning) systems to ensure optimal operating results.
The successful candidate will support the planning and implementation of the organisation’s policies and procedures, including the day-to-day operations of the facilities portfolio. The successful candidates will manage facilities staff duties, liaising with contractors, hospice staff and volunteers, ensuring that health and safety policies and procedures are followed.
As a member of the Hospice team, you will be working in a clinical end of life care environment always putting the patients' needs first, despite conflicting priorities.

We are looking for an organised, proactive and talented team member to support our Glasgow Breastfeeding Buddies project. This role is home-based but will include travel across the NHS GGC region (expenses will be reimbursed).
About the Role
You will be responsible for delivering face-to-face cot side breastfeeding support to families, both individually and alongside NCT Peer Support volunteers, in the neonatal units throughout the NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (GGC) Health Board.
• Support volunteers to assist families within the neonatal wards.
• Provide, as required, informal breastfeeding peer support to mothers in line with the NCT peer support code of conduct and the memorandum of understanding with NHS GGC.
• Support NHS GGC Healthcare Professionals with monitoring and reviewing where appropriate.
• Participate in reflective support with Neonatal Infant Feeding Lead, as required.
• Report any concerns or additional support needs of women to the NCT management team and/or Infant Feeding Lead for referral onto partner agencies as appropriate.
You must have good communication skills and be able to build relationships and create a rapport with a wide range of people easily. This is a large and complex project and covers multiple locations so you must be able to confidently prioritise your own work, be highly organised and able to work independently.
It is essential for this post that you undertake the training to become an NCT Breastfeeding Peer Supporter and Neonatal Peer Supporter. This requires breastfeeding experience of at least 3 months. The training can be undertaken within your working hours.
The role is 12 hours per week and may include occasional evening and weekends.
