Each year, Strathclyde’s Major Gifts fundraising team generate millions to support leading research (in areas from vaccine development to stroke rehabilitation to sustainable development) and to also help our brilliant student body, making sure anyone can study at Strathclyde, irrespective of their financial circumstances. We now seek a dynamic new member of the team to foster fantastic relationships with our donors so that Strathclyde’s world-leading research can continue to make an impact and so that our student body remains as diverse as possible.
This is an exciting role in which you will be responsible for helping to drive forward our fundraising programme, particularly for the faculties of Engineering and Science. You will raise funds through relationships with alumni, trusts and foundations and companies. You’ll have the chance to onboard brand-new prospects as well as look after some of our long-standing supporters, holding face to face and online meetings as well as engaging them through events. You’ll also get to create compelling proposals alongside our academic friends, working with the team to identify and capitalise on the best opportunities for successful fundraising. To support you, you’ll be joining an experienced fundraising team of 8 staff including 4 major gift fundraisers with access to their knowledge and guidance.
You’ll have the chance to engage with successful Strathclyde graduates, major philanthropic funding organisations and the University’s leading academic staff. This is a fantastic opportunity for a fundraiser with a successful track-record to take the next step in their career.
