Children’s Hearings tribunal panel members play a vital role in Scotland’s society. They listen and make legal decisions with and for infants, children and young people. They ensure that the young person is at the heart of every decision taken – because every decision, no matter how big or small, has an impact.
As Graphic & Multimedia Designer within the communications team, you will play a critical role in developing and building clear brand identity for the organisation through the provision of consistent, engaging and robust communication materials.
Your role
Reporting to the Communications and Engagement Lead, the Graphic & Multimedia Designer will design and produce marketing and promotional materials for the organisation including key campaigns that run throughout the year.
You will be joining CHS at a pivotal point as we manage the journey through a number of big change projects both with both internal and external communications. This role will help to develop and maintain consistency in our brand to both raise awareness of the role we play in Scotland’s unique care and justice system, and recruit new volunteers to it. You will be responsible for the following core activities:
The post holder will liaise and develop positive and effective operational relationships with the wider CHS community including our volunteer Panel Members, Area Support Team Members and local authority Clerks as well as the Scottish Children’s Reporter Administration (SCRA), the Scottish Government and other national partner agencies.
Life at CHS
At Children’s Hearings Scotland, our highly trained Panel Members make decisions for Scotland’s unique Children’s Hearings System that upholds and promotes the rights of infants, children and young people. Our 2,500 volunteer Panel Members take part in children’s hearings in their local areas, making decisions with and for infants, children and young people. Our organisation also supports a network of Area Support Teams throughout Scotland who support Panel Members in their local communities.
