  • South Lanarkshire
  • Closing 21st July 2023

Role

Healthy Valleys is a community-led organisation committed to providing outstanding local services that help conserve the mental and physical health and wellbeing of individuals, families, and communities living in rural South Lanarkshire.

Due to successfully securing new funding from Smarter Choices Smarter Places, we have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and energetic Project Worker to support the growth of ‘Gear Up’, a Healthy Valleys Social Enterprise empowering communities through cycling, walking, and wheeling.

We are looking for a passionate person who wants to make a difference to the health and wellbeing of people living in South Lanarkshire through enabling engagement with Active Travel (walking, cycling, and wheeling). We don’t require a university degree, but a qualification or great experience in a relevant area, such as community engagement or a similar subject would be useful. We’ll support you with the technical training for the role, and hope you’ll then be able to support and train others- strengthening resilience in communities, growing skills for work and life, and setting people up for healthy lifestyles.

You’ll support the planning and delivery of our comprehensive Active Travel offer and provide information and guidance to local groups and communities on the benefits of active and sustainable travel.
