The Rotary Jaipur Limb (RJL) is a proactive fund-raising and project-initiating charitable organisation that was established in 1984 and became a registered charity in 1994. The organisation helps thousands of disabled men, women and children, in India and Africa, to receive prosthetic limbs in order to lead an independent life.

RJL seeks to raise funds to support the organisations growing portfolio of new and existing projects and we are looking to contract a self-employed and enthusiastic fundraiser to research and secure grants from a variety of sources including grants from statutory funders, foundations and trusts.

The post holder will work under the direction of the RJL Executive Committee to give support with researching available grants and writing applications, bids and reports for a diverse range of audiences including existing and new grant funders. The post holder will be an integral part of the organisation’s management team.

You will have:

  • Minimum three years of demonstrable experience in fundraising.
  • Excellent underwriting skills for grant applications, bids and follow-up appeals.
  • The ability to work at strategic planning and implementation levels in order to achieve desired outcomes.
  • The ability to work flexibly and creatively in motivating and supporting volunteers for fundraising activities.
  • A dynamic personality with high level of professionalism and excellent persuasive and influencing skills.
