The Role:

The Students’ Association’s Marketing and Communications team works to increase engagement with, and sales of, the Association’s activities (both on and offline) through the creation and delivery of effective communications, marketing campaigns and initiatives. This work spans officer profile raising, representation, student activities, awareness and behavioural change campaigns, and commercially competitive activity (e.g. events, retail and hospitality).

The Senior Digital Marketing Officer acts as the Association's subject matter expert in digital marketing and is responsible for the management of all of the Students’ Association digital communication channels. These include our website, Sharepoint site, Intranet, email and multiple social media platforms (including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Tik Tok and YouTube).

With a keen eye for current trends in online communications for our target audience, the post holder is responsible for working with Marketing & Communications - and other - colleagues, and student officers to develop exciting and creative ways to drive digital engagement with what they are working on and their success with students.

The Senior Digital Marketing Officer is required to produce fast and accurate work, undertaken with a keen eye for detail, and work on multiple projects simultaneously.

The post-holder should be able to demonstrate experience of successful professional digital marketing and communications work, and a client and customer focused approach.

The Person:

A talented digital marketeer, with experience in delivering web, email and social content and who has a strong understanding of current digital trends. The post holder will be flexible in their communications style and approach to enable them to manage and support the creation of messaging for each topic.

The post holder will need to be able to quickly assimilate information, multitask and work to often tight deadlines, managing their workload by prioritisation and delegating tasks where necessary. They should also be able to demonstrate experience of successful professional marketing and communications work, and a client and customer focussed approach.

As the Finance officer you will be an integral member of our team providing vital financial support to our CEO and Board of Trustees. Your accurate record-keeping and timely reporting will be critical to effectively managing our finances and Home-Start Clackmannanshire’s continued success. Your contribution to developing financial procedures and policies in partnership with our CEO and Board of Trustees will ensure that our financial operations are aligned with our values and objectives.

An overview of key tasks:

Financial management and accounting

  • Check, process and record all payments, administer invoices, process expense claims.
  • Initiate all online payments through our banking system.
  • File all relevant financial paperwork.
  • Follow up on overdue accounts as appropriate.
  • Process all financial transactions through Quickbooks including year end and accrued income/expenditure.
  • Maintain accurate records of payment receipts and the reconciling of purchasing cards.
  • Undertake accurate monthly reconciliation of bank statements and receipts through Quickbooks.
  • Produce monthly budgets report and cash flow statement.
  • Support CEO in ensuring that employee expenses and mileage are claimed in accordance with financial policies and procedures.
  • Process gift aid submissions and support CEO to acknowledge receipt of donations.
  • Produce reports as requested detailing spending attached to restricted funds.

Payroll and HR

  • Receive payroll reports from BrightHR, check to ensure accurate, and set up payment to cover salaries, HMRC payment and pensions.
  • Input salary information related to core and restricted costs into Quickbooks.
  • Prepare our pension payment via the NEST online system to ensure that pension contribution schedules are correct and timely.

Governance

  • Support our CEO and Board of Trustees by producing the necessary financial reports.

General

  • The Finance officer is responsible for reporting any problems or errors to the CEO in a timely manner.
  • The Finance officer is expected to participate in regular supervision, annual appraisal, staff training and development programmes.
  • The Finance officer is expected to adhere to Home-Start Clackmannanshire’s policies and procedures, particularly those relating to equality diversity and inclusion and health and safety at work.

Person specification

Essential

  • A relevant financial qualification (for example HNC accounting; AAT Level 3 Diploma in Accounting or equivalent) and proven experience in financial reporting.
  • Highly proficient and experienced in using Quickbooks and working with financial data.

We have brought extensive experience, knowledge and connections in nature restoration through working with over 30 land managers, community groups, charities, local businesses and statutory bodies on Wild Strathfillan (a 50,000-hectare landscape-scale project).

We now need to build capacity within the team to further develop our people and community-focussed work.

Working in partnership with Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park Authority and RSPB Scotland, LLTCT has committed to the exciting new Loch Lomond & The Trossachs Landscape Connections (LLTLC) Initiative, funded by The National Heritage Lottery Fund. This focuses on accelerating restoration of our woodland mosaic, addressing shared threats, and maximising shared opportunities for people and communities across three existing landscape partnerships (Wild Strathfillan, The Great Trossachs Forest, Lomond Rainforest).

Founded in 2000, we’re the first and only UK charity solely dedicated to improving the lives of an estimated 70,000 individuals and their families affected by polycystic kidney disease (PKD) in the UK.

PKD is a range of life-threatening inherited conditions that can cause kidney failure and affect other organs in the body such as the liver, brain, heart and bowels. Most people with PKD live with an uncertain prognosis, intermittent pain and infections, and then have to undergo life saving dialysis or transplant in their 50s.

A few babies have a rare form of PKD which results in death during pregnancy or shortly after birth; the surviving children often have to have either a kidney or liver transplant before the age of 10.

About the Project

PKD Scotland: Outreach and Community Connections Project.

It is estimated that around 5,000 people in Scotland could be living with Polycystic Kidney Disease. It is however often poorly understood and historically underfunded, meaning people can leave clinic after diagnosis with little support beyond medical appointments.

Many tell us they don't know where to turn for emotional support or to meet others living with the same condition. We want to change that and with support from a National lottery Awards for All grant that is exactly what we are going to do.

The eighteen-month project will see us reach into hospitals across Scotland to try and ensure that no one with PKD in Scotland has to manage their journey on their own. From diagnosis onwards we want all to be aware of the charity, the array of services that we offer and foster engagement.

Two new volunteer led support groups will be established and a group of ambassadors recruited to support the ongoing connections we make to ensure that PKD remains in the spotlight. As our Scotland PKD Engagement Officer you will be central to the success of the project.

Many people only reach us years after diagnosis, often when symptoms worsen, but we know that early connection can make a real difference. PKD is lifelong and people face new challenges at every stage. Having support around them helps them stay confident, informed and connected.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As PKD’s Scotland Engagement Officer, you will play a central role in delivering this ambitious outreach project.

Reporting to the Chief Executive, you will raise awareness of the PKD Charity and its services, ensuring that people diagnosed with PKD are informed about available support from the earliest possible stage.

You will build and nurture relationships with NHS professionals and services across Scotland, helping embed PKD Charity information and resources into patient pathways. Alongside this, you will work closely with volunteers to establish two new PKD support groups and develop an ambassador programme to maintain long-term local engagement and visibility.

This is an exciting opportunity for a confident relationship-builder who enjoys working autonomously while contributing to a small and dedicated team. Your work will help ensure that people living with PKD across Scotland feel informed, connected and supported throughout every stage of their condition.

The Service

The Falkirk Core & Cluster project supports young people aged 16 to 21 who have experienced care or are arriving in Falkirk through the National Transfer Scheme. The goal is to help them develop the skills necessary for successful independent living while also providing access to employment, training, and educational opportunities. In collaboration with Link Housing Association, we offer a supported core and cluster housing initiative. This project features ten independent tenancies situated around a central hub/training flat, where our small but dedicated team delivers flexible, individually tailored support

The Job

As a senior practitioner, you will be skilled and experienced in working with care-experienced young people. Taking a trauma-informed approach, you will be responsible for complex and varied key-working issues, co-ordination of complex support arrangements and supporting the leadership of the service. You will use your extensive knowledge and experience to provide support and guidance to less experienced colleagues through informal mentoring (where relevant).

You will have extensive experience in multi-agency working, housing support systems and the support of care experienced young people which you will use to establish and maintain respectful and empowering relationships with service users so that they feel valued and supported and in control of their own lives. You will be responsible for carrying out assessments of new service users and for reviewing existing service users on a regular basis.

In your role you will offer practical, emotional and social support to care experienced young people within the project, assisting them to develop the independent living skills necessary for future tenancy sustainment. You will need to develop warm and effective relationships with the young people supporting them to cope with their lives in a positive and planned way so that they can make informed choices and take responsibility for their actions, advocating for them with a range of other agencies to ensure their rights are upheld at all times

About You

We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated individual with the skills and passion to make a meaningful impact on the lives of others. You should have a general standard of secondary education, including passes in English and Maths at Standard Grade level, and a SVQ Social Services and Healthcare SCQF Level 6 and be willing to work towards qualifications recognised by the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC). These include an and an SVQ Social Services and Healthcare SCQF Level 7, alongside a suitable supervisory or management qualification, if not already attained.

You will bring extensive knowledge and experience in social care, housing issues, welfare rights, benefits, and procedures, alongside a solid understanding of housing support and care-at-home systems. Experience working with diverse service user groups, particularly care-experienced young people, is essential, as is an understanding of the challenges faced by marginalised and excluded individuals.

About the Role:

The role of the Counsellor is to provide a counselling, advice, and information service for individuals aged 16 and over to support their wellbeing and mental health.

The Counsellor will report to the Service Manager - Counselling.

This post requires a Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme membership for children and protected adults. Successful applicants will be required to join the PVG Scheme.

Key Responsibilities of the Counsellor:

  • Provide counselling service to individuals following Murray’s Initiative’s integrative counselling approach.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to gain a deep, holistic understanding of a client's current circumstances.
  • Ensure all paperwork is completed accurately and professionally and work with the admin team to ensure that the counselling database and reports are kept accurate and up to date.
  • Attend regular practice supervision and line management meetings, and participate in appropriate meetings and training opportunities, ensuring the minimum required CPD is completed.
  • Complete all mandatory training as required.
  • Adhere to the ethical frameworks of the appropriate governing body (COSCA).
  • Follow organisational policies and procedures, including health and safety.
  • Produce accurate and quality case studies of counselling clients for reports and training.
  • Contribute to service promotion by attending partner meetings in a professional manner.
  • Undertake any other duties as required by the Service Manager – Counselling.

Qualifications and Experience :

  • Obtained a diploma-level qualification in counselling.
  • Completed a minimum of 100 hours of post-qualification client work.
  • Awareness and training in an array of mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, bereavement and neurodiversity.
  • Demonstratable experience of inter-agency working and working in community settings to be able to provide a high standard of support to clients alongside different services.
  • Up to date, or working towards, registration with COSCA, BACP or similar.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Demonstratable excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to empathise with a broad range of individuals and experiences.
  • Proven ability to empower individuals to change with a non-judgmental approach.
  • Ability to self-motivate and work proactively, managing own diaries and appointments, whilst maintaining resilience and capacity when working with complex client issues.
  • Commitment to working in line with Murray’s Initiative values of respect, empathy and collaboration.
  • Demonstrable alignment with the Core Conditions for a counsellor.

Working pattern:

Flexible, to be discussed with the successful candidate. Evening work will be required.

As an Engineer at Walk Wheel Cycle Trust (WWCT) you will be responsible for creating clear and accurate technical work. We’re looking for someone who has experience and understanding in the areas listed below. You don’t need to meet every requirement — if you feel you’d be a good fit, we encourage you to apply.

  • A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field, such as Civil Engineering, Traffic Engineering, Urban Design, Landscape Architecture, or another relevant and clearly demonstrated specialism, with at least two years of experience. OR five years of work experience in a relevant role.

Essential Skills and Attributes

  • Qualified to the level required by the SSSC as a support worker in a housing support service/care at home service, or a willingness to work towards and to successfully complete qualification within the SSSC specified timeframe.
  • An energetic, enthusiastic person who would be interested in supporting a young man who lives with autism and learning disability; for whom the service provides 24/7 cover.
  • Support is inclusive of indoor and outdoor activities, so a willingness to be outdoors and be fit enough for longer walks would be essential, within the rural community.
  • A clean UK driving licence is required in order to take our client to and from activities.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative
  • Passion for helping people live independently
