About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Philanthropy Manager to support the delivery of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh's philanthropic strategy and contribute to the growth of its fundraising activity.
This is an exciting opportunity to help grow philanthropic support for the College’s Global CARE initiative, helping to address healthcare inequalities worldwide through improved access to safe surgery and patient care.
Reporting to the Head of Development, the successful candidate will develop and manage a portfolio of philanthropic opportunities, building relationships with donors, trusts, foundations, corporate supporters and partners to secure philanthropic funding and long-term engagement.
This role would suit a relationship-focused professional who enjoys developing compelling funding propositions, building meaningful partnerships and demonstrating impact through effective donor stewardship and communications.
The role is based in Edinburgh with flexibility for hybrid working. Occasional travel within the UK and internationally may be required.
Experience/Qualifications/Key Skills
You will have experience in philanthropy, fundraising, partnership development or a related field, with excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills. You will be organised, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Educated to degree level or with equivalent professional experience, you will be confident developing funding proposals, building partnerships and working collaboratively with colleagues and external stakeholders. Experience within the charity, healthcare, education or not-for-profit sectors would be advantageous.

About the Role: Based within the Men’s Health and Wellbeing Service at Murray’s Initiative, the role of Men’s Wellbeing Support Worker is to provide one-to-one health and wellbeing support to men who have experienced both trauma and addiction. The Wellbeing Support Worker will help individuals to achieve positive health and wellbeing outcomes and also facilitate groups as a key part of their role.
The Wellbeing Support Worker will report to the Service Manager – Wellbeing. This post requires membership of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme membership for children and protected adults.
Successful applicants will be required to join the PVG Scheme.

About the Role:
The role of Peer Education Support Worker will support our peer-led Harm Reduction Service (U-Turn), benefiting young people aged 12 – 25 years old. This service is funded by Young Start from The National Lottery.
The main focus of this service is to provide Peer Education, with the added provision of one to one support for young Peer Educators. The service adopts an active citizenship approach when working with young people. There will be an expectation that the Peer Educators will work towards achieving qualifications through training and as a result of the work they undertake.
The service specifically targets some of the most vulnerable young people in areas where Murray’s Initiative currently delivers services, aiming to reduce the harm caused by alcohol and other drugs within their communities.
The Peer Educators will be supported to deliver peer-led inputs to other Young People on issued-based topics, with a focus to incorporate a harm reduction approach as well as a separate element of addressing stigma/language around drug and alcohol use.
The Peer Education Support Worker will report to the Service Manager – Education & Development.

About the role
We are seeking an experienced membership engagement professional to plan and deliver dynamic programme of activities for our Fellowship. Informed by insight gathered through a recent Fellows’ survey, you’ll help shape a more connected and active membership, ensuring activities align with the RSE’s mission of “knowledge made useful”.
Working closely with Fellows and colleagues across the organisation, you will plan and deliver a varied programme of events, networking, and engagement opportunities. You will also collaborate with the Communications team to develop targeted, meaningful content that strengthens relationship and encourages participation.
This is a new and exciting role focused on building a culture of active engagement. You’ll convene and support an advisory group, evaluate the impact of activities, and continuously refine the programme using data and feedback.

• A minimum of 3–5 years’ experience of delivering membership engagement activities in a similar context
• Proven experience of strategically planning engagement in response to insight
• An understanding of membership organisations, professional and/or interdisciplinary networks

Context
Working as part of our innovative Fife Housing First for Youth Project, the Project Worker will work directly with young people aged 16-25 years to coordinate and provide emotional and practical support to avoid, resolve and move on from homelessness
Working directly with young people in their home or within a community setting the Project Worker will support young people to secure/maintain a permanent home, improve their independent living skills, access other services, manage finances and engage with resources within their communities.
The Project Worker will offer line management, guidance, and support to Support Assistants and volunteers. The Project Workers are responsible for completing support plans and risk assessments and acting as co-ordinator for any key people involved in the care and support of young people.
