The Venny (Glencassels Community Development Project) is looking for new volunteer Board members to provide governance and strategic direction for this well-established community project.
Based in Craigneuk, The Venny works with children, young people, families and the wider community, providing activities, opportunities and support shaped around local strengths and needs.

Our Board has responsibility for ensuring that The Venny is well managed, well run and fulfils our commitments to both our funders and the local community.

Our commitment
The Board meets approximately every 4–6 weeks. This is a voluntary role, and new Board members will be supported to understand The Venny and their responsibilities as Charity Trustees.

We're looking for a confident, approachable and enthusiastic Youth Worker to join our small team and help deliver our after-school and evening youth clubs. We want someone who can build positive relationships, bring ideas and initiative, and help create meaningful opportunities with young people.

Relevant experience can come from youth work, education, community work, sports coaching, childcare, mentoring, support work or a similar setting. You don't need to have followed a traditional youth work career path - we're interested in your experience, values and what you could bring to our young people.

CEMVO Scotland is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced individual to deliver My Culture, My Heritage – a new project supporting ethnic minority (EM) third sector organisations and community groups across Scotland.
This is an exciting opportunity to help establish and shape a new programme from the ground up.
You will work directly with organisations across Scotland, providing practical support to help them develop heritage project ideas, understand funding opportunities and submit strong applications to the Heritage Development Fund, managed by CEMVO Scotland through The National Lottery Heritage Fund.
You will also support organisations to successfully manage and deliver their funded project. Working alongside specialist training partners you will build sector knowledge, skills and confidence to identify and interpret, document and preserve and celebrate and share their own heritage.
A key part of the role will be developing peer networks, creating opportunities for organisations to connect, share experiences, exchange intelligence and learn from one another. You will help build relationships across the EM third sector and ensure that the programme responds to the needs and experiences of organisations and communities across Scotland.
We are looking for someone who understands the capacity building process and is passionate about cultural heritage and the contribution that ethnic minority communities make to enrich Scotland's heritage.

Thanks to funding from the Scottish Government's Gambling Levy, we have established our new Better Wellbeing Service, designed to address gambling harms, improve wellbeing, and strengthen support for Gypsy/Traveller individuals, families and communities.
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Development Worker to join MECOPP’s Gypsy/Traveller Team and support our work to reduce gambling-related harms within Scotland’s Gypsy/Traveller community.
The postholder will work as part of MECOPP’s Gambling Harms Team, developing community-based support, awareness raising, and partnership activity to improve wellbeing, reduce health inequalities, and strengthen access to appropriate support.

Prison Fellowship Scotland is a Christian charity working with the men and women in Scotland's prisons. Through our partnership with the Scottish Prison Service, we support chaplains by running programmes that allow people in prison to explore and respond to the Christian faith and to take responsibility for the harm they have caused. We also support the families of those in prison.
Purpose of the role
To lead the delivery and development of the Sycamore Tree Programme across Scotland and contribute to the growth of restorative justice practice within the criminal justice system, working in partnership with prisons, volunteers, and external organisations. Additionally, role will also promote the work of Prison Fellowship Scotland within churches and contribute to wider awareness and understanding of justice issues. Beyond this part of the role will be to work well as part of the wider PFS team as we actively look at new ways of growing the work of the organisation.
The Lavender Menace Queer Books Archive has grown out of Scotland’s first LGBTQ+ bookshops, Lavender Menace and West & Wilde. Bob Orr and Sigrid Nielsen, the owners of the original Lavender Menace Bookshop founded the Lavender Menace Queer Books Archive in 2019 to keep this valuable LGBTQ+ book heritage alive and share it with the community.
We have a mission to bring together the queer community in Edinburgh and beyond; celebrate LGBTQ+ authors and their works; and collect and preserve LGBTQ+ books (focusing on those published between 1970 and 2000). We work to create and maintain a free and welcoming community archive space for reading, research, and socialising. The archive is open to visitors and hosts a variety of author events, workshops, community groups and book clubs. We also have a digital catalogue of our collection.
To support the next stage of our growth, we are seeking aResearch Coordinatortolead the development and delivery of community-led research into Scotland’s LGBTQ+ heritage, with responsibility for the Connecting Heritage strand of the project. The post holder will take forward a variety of work including research design, outputs and partnerships, supporting a team of volunteer researchers and producing accessible public facing outputs. Working collaboratively with the wider team, the postholder will ensure that the research is inclusive, ethical and embedded within community practice.
This role would suit an individual witha strong background in community based research, a strong degree of LGBTQ+ cultural competence and able to operate with autonomy in a collaborative and supportive way. To support the next stage of our growth, we are seeking a General Manager to build the sustainability of the Archive and ensure effective delivery of our programmes. Working closely with the Board, this exciting new role will lead organisational development, fundraising, financial administration, governance, and long-term planning, while managing and leading the work of a high performing staff team. Specifically, the postholder will provide high-level oversight of collections policy, ethics, and risk, ensuring the archive remains accessible, cared for, and responsive to community needs; whilst also leading the team to effectively deliver our new project “Unlocking Scotland’s LGBTQ+ Heritage”, which is made possible with The National Lottery Heritage Fund. Thanks to National Lottery players, we will be able to expand the reach of the Archive, and better connect communities to their heritage.
This role would suit a proven leader with professional experience in archives, libraries, museums, or heritage collections, who has a strong degree of LGBTQ+ cultural competence and who is able to operate with autonomy in a collaborative and supportive way. It presents a fantastic opportunity to grow your leadership and project delivery skills, and contribute to the long term sustainability of a vital community resource in Scotland.
