Purpose of the Post
- To provide an age-appropriate, high-quality service to children and young people aged 13-22 who have experienced
domestic abuse, with a particular focus on those aged 16 and above.
- To address the growing need for
support among young individuals experiencing domestic abuse in their own relationships, including crisis
intervention, advocacy, and life skills development.
- To meet legal requirements, Dundee Women’s Aid
(DWA) standards, and policies while promoting DWA’s work in the local and wider community.
- To
collaborate with young people, families, and external agencies to ensure a comprehensive, person-centred
approach to addressing domestic abuse.
- To support the Senior Children’s Services Domestic Abuse
Practitioner, CEO, Depute CEO and colleagues in achieving DWA objectives and identifying areas for
improvement.
