About ESAS

East and Southeast Asian Scotland (ESAS) is a community-led organisation working for justice, rights, and empowerment of East and Southeast Asian (ESEA) communities across Scotland. We centre the voices of ESEA people while building solidarity and belonging across diverse communities.

• Founded in 2020 and incorporated as a Community Interest Company, ESAS has grown into a trusted and recognised voice. Our achievements include:
• Leading community research (Migrant Life in Scotland survey) on ESEA migrants’ access to services during the pandemic.
• Delivering emergency food, clothing, and IT support during COVID-19.
• Supporting wellbeing and inclusion through peer support groups, befriending, English lessons, and women’s sessions.
• Partnering with COSLA and the Scottish Government to support Hong Kong BN(O) migrants and improve access to services.
• Providing hate incident reporting and casework support through the national On Your Side service.
• Advocating for labour rights across the UK through the ESEA Migrant Alliance UK project funded by the Joseph Rowntree Charitable Trust.

The opportunity

We are seeking new Board Directors who share our commitment to justice, rights, and empowerment. As a Director, you will play a vital role in shaping strategy, strengthening governance, and ensuring our work has lasting impact.

Previous Board experience is not essential—we welcome applications from people with diverse backgrounds, skills, and lived experience. We are particularly interested in candidates with knowledge or experience in:

• Governance and organisational leadership
• Finance (including an applicant for the Treasurer role)
• Fundraising and understanding of the NGO/funding landscape
• HR and compliance
• UK policy and systems that shape migrant and community wellbeing

Commitment

This is a voluntary, non-executive role (reasonable expenses reimbursed). The time commitment is around 29 hours per year, covering meetings, preparation, and occasional reviews. Meetings are mainly online, with one in-person meeting in Scotland annually. Every five years, Directors attend a Governance Development Weekend (the next in Jan/March 2026).

Harbour Homes is Leith and north Edinburgh’s biggest social landlord, providing thousands of affordable homes from Portobello to Granton and everywhere in between. About the role:

This is a brilliant opportunity to join our Sheltered Housing Team at Harbour.

You will be specifically accountable for ensuring the effective delivery of the following functions:

- Providing a high quality and efficient cleaning service in the communal areas of the sheltered housing developments

- Supporting and delivering tenants’ social activities.

You will be expected to deliver your duties while behaving in line with the Harbour values.

About you:

You must:

- Have at least one year’s experience of cleaning in a similar environment

- Be passionate about delivery of excellent customer service and follows principle of getting it right first time

You will be required to complete a PVG check with Disclosure Scotland.

Thenue Housing Association has approximately 75 staff and provides high quality housing with a stock base of approximately 3,000 properties in our six main communities, as well as 21 supported accommodation projects, mainly located in Glasgow. We also provide a factoring service to over 800 owners within our communities and have around 45 sharing owners. Our housing stock ranges from Victorian sandstone tenements to 1930 “interwar” flats, along with a few listed buildings and new build properties developed by the Association. They are spread across several locations in Glasgow including Bridgeton, Calton, Cranhill, Castlemilk, Dalmarnock, Scotstoun, Baillieston and Blackhill.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Part Time Receptionist with significant Receptionist and switchboard experience in a busy office environment, to join our organisation. Strong administrative skills and experience of web-based Housing

Management platforms would be beneficial

It is a permanent, office-based post over five days: 21hours per week, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 9.00 am to 5.00 pm.

With our part-time Receptionist, who works Thursdays and Fridays, plus an additional full-time Receptionist, you will play a vital role in creating a positive first impression and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the front office as well as delivering excellent customer service.

Our Board

Our Board, as the College’s governing body, is responsible for setting our strategic direction, ensuring its effective management and delivering high-quality learning and outcomes. Board members serve on a voluntary basis, with reasonable expenses reimbursed, and spend approximately 10 working days throughout the year to fulfil the core duties and responsibilities of their roles. Meetings are hybrid, take place in the late afternoon/early evening and last approximately two hours.
