It’s an exciting time to be part of Scottish Huntington’s Association with the implementation of Standing Tall: A Strategy For Growth 2023 – 28 to transform the care and support of Huntington’s families, expand services, raise awareness and deepen our involvement and support for world-leading research and clinical trials.

We are looking for a Health and Social Care professional to join our nationwide network of Huntington’s Disease Specialists to provide care management, specialist assessment and emotional support to individuals and families across Scotland.

Working in partnership with local Health and Social Care teams, you will also provide advice, training and education to professionals and voluntary agencies involved in all aspects of Huntington’s disease care.

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic and motivated to have a positive influence on the quality of life of the individuals and families they support. This role is open to medical and health and social care staff from backgrounds such as nursing, allied health, social work and medicine. Professional body membership is essential.Previous experience of Huntington’s disease is advantageous but not essential as full training will be provided.

You should be able to work autonomously in this challenging and rewarding position. Good listening, communication and interpersonal skills are vital, as are excellent time keeping and caseload management abilities. Community-based practice knowledge, a driving licence and use of a car complete our list of essential criteria. The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced disclosure check.

Scottish Huntington’s Association is the only charity in Scotland dedicated exclusively to the care and support of individuals and families whose lives are impacted by Huntington’s disease, an incurable neurological condition with severe and complex physical, mental health and cognitive symptoms.

At Teens+, we support young adults with additional support needs to reach their potential through person-centred education, and the development of life and social skills.

Due to continued growth, we are looking for passionate and motivated individuals to join our Project Worker team.

You will work alongside our Centre Manager, Education Team and Senior Project Workers to support and develop our students - each with their own strengths, talents and support needs. Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance (SCAA) exists so nobody in Scotland suffers or dies because medical help cannot get there in time.

People can get sick or have accidents anywhere and anytime. But in Scotland there are places where urgent medical help cannot reach people. Or help gets there too late. And when lives are at risk every minute matters.

As a charity we rely on donations from the Scottish public, companies and communities to ensure that urgent medical help gets to the patient when it is needed, wherever they are and at whatever time of day.

As part of an ongoing strategy of development, SCAA is looking for a highly motivated, focussed and committed individual to support the growth of our corporate partnerships programme. Working closely with the Partnerships Manager, you’ll play a key role in identifying, securing and developing partnerships that generate sustainable income and create meaningful impact for our charity.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships, spotting opportunities and delivering exceptional donor experiences.

The Partnerships Fundraiser will support on the securing of new partnerships and take the lead on stewarding our corporate partner portfolio. They will join a dynamic team who are passionate about supporting our corporate partners, demonstrating the contribution they make to our critical service through their donations of time and money.

This role will be based either in Perth, at Scone Airport, or at our Aberdeen base, at Aberdeen Airport. SCAA supports flexible and hybrid working arrangements—our current approach typically includes two office days per week for those working on a hybrid basis. The usual hours of work will be Monday—Friday, 9am—5pm but it should be noted that this role will require the successful candidate to occasionally work at weekends and during the evenings. This role will also require the successful candidate to travel regularly to partner locations within Scotland.
