The Cottage Family Centre was established in 1987. The focus of the work at the Centre is to provide a range of support to those families and individuals within family units who are vulnerable to social exclusion as a result of factors such as poverty, unemployment, poor housing, relationship breakdown, drug and alcohol problems and health related issues.
The range of services that the Cottage provides includes a therapeutic service for children and young people.
We are looking for a qualified and experienced therapist competent to work with children and young people. The successful candidate must be a qualified Play Therapist, Art Therapist or Counsellor qualified to work with children and young people.
You will need to be self-motivated, have the ability to work independently with a positive and flexible approach and demonstrate a sound understanding of social issues that affect children, young people and families.

Aberlour Sycamore Services’ vision is to provide warm, loving homes for children where everyone learns, laughs, grows into their future and is treasured always. At any one time, the residential houses within Sycamore require additional support to help to maintain stability and balance within the teams. What we are looking for....
We are looking for individuals who can integrate seamlessly into our existing team, working alongside it and relief adults to support excellent service delivery. We are looking for 2 Residential Workers to work 37.5 hours per week to work within our home in Glenrothes. You will work as part of a residential rota including early, late, sleepovers and weekend shifts. You will have a knowledge and understanding of the importance of attachment, trauma and how this can impact on an individual’s development. At times our children express their distress through their behaviour and the role can be emotionally and physically challenging; we are therefore looking for someone who is resilient, understands that behaviour is a means of communication and is trauma responsive.
You will be skilled in building therapeutic relationships with the children, young people and young adults to enable them to feel safe, loved and cared for.
You must have the ability to quickly build your relationships with the adults within the house. The nature of the role is such that you could be working to cover a shift or longer periods as required, including days and wakened nightshifts and you may also be supporting young people to attend school or participate in other learning programmes. You must therefore be able to quickly adapt to the working environment within each house.
You will be comfortable with working within Aberlour’s culture embracing respect, integrity, innovation and the ability to challenge. Demonstration of these qualities will be particularly important in this role given that you will be dipping in and out of the different teams. You must be able to be an exceptional role model for other staff and the young person.
Undertaking the role of Residential Worker will afford you the opportunity to develop and build on a range of transferrable skills which are valued in a range of employment. You will be able to demonstrate excellent flexibility and adaptability with exceptional interpersonal skills, ability to work with different teams and different children, young people and young adults living within our Sycamore Houses.

About Forth Valley Intensive Perinatal Service
Aberlour has always seen the benefit of early intervention and are pleased to have received funding from Scottish Government to work across Forth Valley supporting new parents pre and post birth. By working alongside new parents, we aim to facilitate recovery from problematic substance use and improve parenting capacity and confidence to positively impact on the outcomes for both parents and their new babies.
The service will work across 7 days per week operating within the hours of 8am to 8pm to flexibly meet the needs of the parents and families being supported. The work will cover prebirth to baby’s first birthday offering strength-based, whole family support.
What we are looking for....
We are seeking to recruit an Intensive Perinatal Support Worker, working 37.5 hours per week. It is essential that you have a full driving licence. Initial funding from Scottish Government is secured until March 2027, however with successful outcomes we are hopeful that this specialised work would be extended further. We are looking for a candidate with a sound knowledge of child development and experience of working with individuals with problematic substance and/or alcohol use.
We encourage people to apply who have lived experience of alcohol or drug use, with a minimum of 2 years living in recovery, free from all drug use and problem drinking.

Dundee Domestic Abuse Service is a partnership between Barnardo's and Dundee Women's Aid, providing a service to women and children experiencing domestic abuse across Dundee. Our aims are to work towards the reduction and prevention of domestic abuse and enable women and children to live without the fear of domestic violence and abuse; to work in partnership with a range of multiagency partners and collaboratively within Dundee's Protecting People structure to provide women experiencing domestic abuse and their children with accessible high-quality services. The successful post holder will be based within Barnardo's Dundee, covering Dundee city.
