The Senior Development Officer role will identify and develop opportunities for innovation and improvement within health and social care integration. You will build capacity and facilitate stronger connections between the statutory sector, third sector and people with lived and living experience by meaningfully engaging and enabling more collaborative working and shared learning. You will promote health and social care policy, peer learning, knowledge sharing, idea generation and networking with a focus on outcomes-based activity, ensuring that people with lived and living experience are central to shaping the future of integrated health and social care in Scotland.

The successful candidate for this role should have:

• Experience of partnership working and co-production
• Excellent communication skills including report writing and delivering presentations
• Strong leadership and organisational skills
• Ability to horizon scan to identify opportunities and risks
• IT skills in word processing, email, internet, databases and presentations
• Experience of carrying out social research and consultation
• Experience of engaging with people in interactive and creative ways
• Experience of organising and facilitating workshops, groups and events
• Excellent networking, relationship building and information management skills
• Good time management and ability to produce to deadline
• Good understanding of data protection
• Educated to degree level or equivalent through experience

This post is a fixed-term contract. This is a full-time role, 35 hours per week, based in Glasgow. The post holder will be required to adopt a flexible approach to working hours as travel throughout Scotland and occasional additional hours may be required. However, this will be reimbursed through the organisation’s Time off in Lieu scheme.

The post holder will be responsible for developing and delivering our Energy and Efficiency outreach project to Glasgow and West Dunbartonshire and will provide a specialist service to people who often experience complex social circumstances, using agreed, person-centred principles for monitoring, auditing and evaluating programme delivery

The successful candidate for this role should have:

• Experience at delivering advice to a wide range of citizens and be familiar with benefit entitlements as well as showing empathy and understanding of the issues faced by our citizens.
• Knowledge and understanding of the environmental, social and economic problems of deprived areas and the roles of the public, private and voluntary sectors in tackling them.
• Demonstrable experience and knowledge of the provision of advice to low-income households in energy efficiency or related fields.
• Self-motivation and the ability to work with limited supervision.
• The ability to work with a wide range of people and proven experience of working with vulnerable householders, low income and/or other disadvantaged groups, including a strong understanding of the challenges faced by people living in areas of deprivation in relation to living well.
• Tact and diplomacy when liaising with a wide range of organisations.

Are you passionate about supporting people with a spinal cord injury across Scotland? Do you have the confidence, coordination skills, and compassion to lead a small team and build meaningful connections?

Spinal Injuries Scotland is looking for a dynamic and proactive Outreach Development Officer to lead and coordinate our national peer support service. You’ll be responsible for overseeing our peer support team, developing networks across health and third sector services, and ensuring that people living with a spinal cord injury receive timely, relevant, and compassionate support.

You’ll also help deliver our Smart Tech programme, support data reporting for funders and internal use, and play a key role in shaping how we reach and support underrepresented areas across the country. This is a fast-paced, varied role with real scope to make a lasting difference.
