Role

We are seeking four passionate Support Assistants to join our dynamic and supportive team. If you are looking for a rewarding career where you can make a tangible difference, this role is for you. You will end each week knowing that your efforts have positively impacted the lives of our participants.

The postholders, will work closely with and help assists their colleagues. They will assist in providing a range of support interventions opportunities and activities, including 1-1 and group sessions with participants. The team will also deliver and host a range of group work programmes and workshop activities suited to locality-based needs and individual Beacons.

What we’re looking for

We are looking for support assistants, who have held a similar role either employed or volunteering. Assistant posts may attract people with their own with lived experience of recovery from substance use issues, it might be their first step into the workplace, or it could be someone who has been directly affected by a loved one’s substance use or addictive behaviours. This would require that the applicant with lived experience must be at least 12 months free from problematic substance use.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience and be able to demonstrate working effectively in a similar support role.
  • The ability to build trust based effective, relationships, both internally and externally.
  • Have a proactive and dynamic personal style, with flexibility in style and approach.
