Role

Our current CEO is relocating and due to restructuring, we are looking for a Service Manager to join and lead our dedicated team, the successful applicant should have the passion, enthusiasm, and expertise to guide us through an exciting new time of transition.

One of Dundee’s oldest charities, our main objective is to alleviate social isolation and loneliness. We deliver daily social activities, combining mental/physical welfare and peer engagement, we also provide support and advice to our Members within our own building in Dundee city centre. The social activities offered are a vital lifeline to our Members, it offers them an opportunity to meet and engage with their contemporaries, participate in group outings, share experiences and for many, it gives them a focus for the day/week ahead.

As Service Manager, you will be responsible for the day to day running of the Society, including finances, Board support, Governance, HR, Marketing, PR, building maintenance, tenants management, H & S and ensuring all policies are adhered to.

You will lead a small but dedicated team, driving and nurturing the team to continue delivering quality standards across the organisation to enhance the quality of life for our Members, providing a welcoming and well managed facility that operates for the benefit of visually impaired people in the area.

Applicants should have management/leadership experience preferably in the third sector, a working knowledge of charity finances, budgetary control, marketing/PR and governance would be beneficial, as would experience of working with sensory impaired/older people.
