Youth & Community Development Officer

Join our vibrant team of staff and volunteers delivering high quality youth work services supporting LGBTQ+ young people right across Scotland.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and innovative person to support the delivery of our Youth Groups, 1:1 asset-based coaching, and community development across Dumfries and Galloway.

Your role will be to:

  • To deliver direct youth work to LGBTQ+ young people through youth group programmes and through individual one to one support
  • To support the South youth work team with events, projects, and community development activities.
  • To work in partnership with key local stakeholders and to be responsible for the development of our work with LGBTQ+ young people, groups and networks in the South

This is a fantastic opportunity to be at the forefront of youth work and make a lasting, and sometimes lifesaving, impact for LGBTQ+ young people.

  • A strong foundation in youthwork or CLD.
  • A passion for supporting young people to achieve their potential.
  • An understanding of LGBTQ+ identities and the key issues LGBTQ+ young people may face.
