ROLE PURPOSE:
As Treasurer you will have a key role within LAYC’s Board of Trustees. You will work with LAYC’s Director and Finance & Business Support Officer to oversee the financial affairs of the organisation and ensure they are legal, constitutional and within accepted accounting practice.
KEY DUTIES:
- Oversee the financial activities of the organisation and ensure they are legal, constitutional and within accepted accounting practice.
- Ensure proper records are kept and that effective financial procedures are in place
- Observe and report on the financial health.
- Liaise with relevant staff and trustees to ensure the financial sustainability of the organisation
- Support with presenting budgets, account reports and financial records.
- Oversee the production of necessary financial reports/returns, accounts and audits.
- Make fellow trustees aware of their financial obligations and support in interpreting financial data.
