Role

Clackmannanshire Third Sector Interface (CTSI) is a ‘single door’ TSI for the local authority area providing support to around 200 third sector member organisations in Clackmannanshire including charities, development trusts, community and voluntary groups, and social enterprises. CTSI is also responsible for promoting volunteering and supporting voluntary leadership. Over the last six years the organisation has delivered strategic plans that align with significant changes and policy direction from Scottish Government including community empowerment, community wealth building, care closer to home and the development of a Wellbeing Economy. CTSI works closely with public sector partners and also the business community to achieve these outcomes.

CTSI is now launching a new strategic plan – a Volunteering Approach to a Wellbeing Economy which will meet the outcomes set out by Scottish Government, the Clackmannanshire Local Outcomes Improvement Plan and the Volunteering for All – National Framework. The plan aims to achieve our outcomes through a fresh lens which is to continue to support and skill up the voluntary leadership and build capacity within the sector, as well as encouraging volunteering participation; promoting health through volunteering; tackling inequalities; supporting community wealth building principles, partnerships and celebrating success; and providing a strong voice to the sector.

This new role will be part of a small team lead by the Team Leader: Membership & Governance and working alongside the Membership and Events Development Officer and the Digital Communications Assistant. The role will particularly focus on supporting our local social enterprise members, the Forth Valley Social Enterprise Network and online directory and the local tourism and heritage sector.

The role will require website and social media experience to support the work (FVSEN website and Discover Clackmannanshire website) as well as administration skills For FVSEN and Discover Clackmannanshire including producing sector bulletins (with information provided) answering the phones and attending membership events. Some knowledge of the third sector in Clackmannanshire and its tourism venues and groups, active travel is desirable and local tourism sector.
