Wellbeing in Nature Project Officer

  • £10,816.00 per annum (£13.00 per hour) + Contributory Pension Scheme. 16 hrs per week. Fixed term to March 2025.

Role

  • Are you passionate about sharing the benefits of spending time in nature?
  • Can you help people experience the improved mental and physical wellbeing from spending time in green space, or bringing nature into their everyday lives?
  • Are you able to design and deliver a range of nature-based activities to meet a variety of needs?
  • Do you have practical horticultural and conservation skills?

If so, you could be the person we’re looking for.

At Knowetop we are using nature and greenspace to offer people opportunities to develop new skills, share new experiences, reduce their sense of isolation, and are building capacity in individuals and the community.

Access to greenspace and time spent engaging with nature is of proven benefit to mental and physical well-being. It is this benefit that our Into Nature sessions provide greater access to for adults from West Dunbartonshire.

Funded by the West Dunbartonshire Community Mental Health and Wellbeing Fund we have a vacancy for a Wellbeing in Nature Officer to continue running our pilot Into Nature project.

PVG Scheme Membership is required, as is a current First Aid qualification.
