We are looking for a compassionate, skilled and motivated adviser to join our Thrive Early team.
The Thrive Early Family Adviser will provide practical, holistic support to families with children under five who are experiencing, or at risk of experiencing, poverty. The role will focus on helping families improve their financial wellbeing by providing advice and support around welfare benefits, income maximisation, debt and other financial issues, as well as information sessions to small groups.
A key part of the role will be building trusted, positive relationships with families who may face significant barriers to engaging with traditional advice services. The postholder will work with families over the medium to long term, providing tailored advice, advocacy and practical support to help them achieve greater financial security and wellbeing.
The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues from Home-Start, Save the Children UK, Citizens Advice Scotland and other local partners to deliver coordinated, whole-family support.

About this role
The Family Support Worker will play a key role in delivering the OPFS Support for Families Service, providing high-quality, person-centred, strengths-based and trauma-informed support to single parents and their children.
Working within the OPFS My Life and Me framework, the postholder will provide one-to-one and group support, undertake family assessments and case management, develop support plans and work alongside families to achieve positive and sustainable outcomes.
The role will involve working with families with a range of needs and barriers, including poverty, social isolation, wellbeing, parenting, housing, financial difficulties, employment and access to services. The Family Support Worker will work collaboratively with families and partner agencies to identify strengths, address barriers and improve outcomes for parents and children.
The postholder will work closely with the Service Manager and wider team to support effective service delivery, provide guidance to Family Support Assistants and contribute
to the ongoing development and improvement of the service.

About the Role
As a Money Adviser, you will deliver specialist money, welfare benefits, debt and energy advice to children, young people and families across Scotland.
Working as part of our National Money Advice Team, you will provide advice through telephone, webchat and digital channels while also supporting local communities through home visits, workshops, school-based activity and community drop-in sessions.
You will work alongside local Children First teams, helping families access financial support, maximise household income and resolve debt and energy-related challenges. Through relationship-based practice, you will empower families to make informed decisions, improve financial resilience and create safer, more secure futures for their children.
A key focus of this role will be increasing access to high-quality Type I and Type II Money Advice services within some of Scotland's most disadvantaged communities, helping tackle inequality and reduce the impact of poverty on children and families.

About the Role:
s a Support Worker, you’ll work as part of a team in providing safe, secure, supported accommodation for the people who use our services. You’ll do this by providing practical and emotional support and encouraging them to achieve their own personal outcomes in all aspects of their daily lives. Somerset Place are looking for a night shift Support Worker to work with 8 young people (aged 16-25) who live in the service. The young people are from a care experienced background and often have experienced complex trauma. There is a focus on building positive relationships with young people and in supporting them to achieve positive outcomes. Given young peoples experiences there is a need to have an empathetic and trauma informed approach.
Main Responsibilities:
This Support Worker Nights role at our Somerset Place service in Glasgow city centre involves working 24 hours per week worked over a 4 week rolling rota, including some weekends. The specific shift times for this role are 9pm-5am and 11:15pm-7:15am.
