Our Activity Centres provide innovative and person-centred services and support to veterans struggling with sight loss. This job exists in order to provide tailored support to veterans carrying out woodworking projects. You will work alongside the veterans to identify abilities, share ideas and plan projects within the activity Centre. You will ensure that the support provided is person-centred, tailored to their needs and is the right support for them. You will support the leadership team to coordinate and manage the activities provided within and from the Activity Centre which will support the overall wellbeing of the veterans and their families. You will work closely with colleagues across the organisation and external stakeholders to ensure that veterans can access the relevant support.

Enable Glasgow is a community based charity working with adults with learning disabilities and their carers and families in Glasgow. We are currently recruiting for a full time Night Shift Coordinator (36 hours per week) to join our skilled staff team at our Esmond Street Advanced Support Service in the Yorkhill area of the city. Esmond Street is currently the only service of its kind in the city, providing a high quality 24/7 supported living service to 22 adults with learning disabilities who are older and/or have advanced needs.

The successful candidate will play a senior and supervisory role within our night shift team at our Esmond Street Service and must have experience of support planning and review systems. Experience in a supported living setting, the ability to work on own initiative, and a positive, empowering and flexible approach to the support of people with learning disabilities are also essential. The post requires the successful candidate to be involved in the support supervision of the staff team and the coordination of duties and tasks, as well as playing a lead role in the maintenance of service standards. It is preferable to hold an appropriate qualification, or to be willing and able to achieve this within an agreed timescale. Our Night Shift Coordinators work on a shift rota basis.

Compassionate Distress Response Service

Glasgow Association for Mental Health is one of the principal providers of community mental health services in Greater Glasgow. We are commissioned by Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership to deliver a Compassionate Distress

Response Service (CDRS) for people in distress who do not require a medical or clinical intervention. We would like to recruit for our Out of Hours Pathway for Emergency Services, First Responders, the Mental Health Assessment Units etc.

The OOHs service operates 7 days a week Monday through to Sunday 5pm -2am. The service operates from our GAMH Head Office – St Andrews by the Green, 33 Turnbull Street, Glasgow.

Key Skills:

• Good communication skills to be able to work effectively with referrers and individuals using the service.
• Compassionate listening, be able to alleviate individual’s feelings of distress.
• Be highly resourceful in supporting individuals i.e., identifying coping strategies, self-management techniques and onward referral where appropriate.
• Be confident and competent to apply risk assessment, safety planning, and escalation processes where appropriate.
• SVQ 3 or equivalent or willingness to work towards achieving this qualification is essential.

We are seeking Assistant Project Workers to join our Self-Directed support service located across the city. In this role, you will provide personalised support to adults experiencing or recovering from mental health challenges.

As an Assistant Project Worker, you will build supportive and trusting relationships with individuals, helping them achieve their personal goals and maintain their wellbeing. You will also demonstrate strong communication and organisational skills, ensuring that all personal planning guidelines are followed and that you work effectively alongside our key referrers and partner agencies.

While knowledge of the role and purpose of a social care worker is desirable, full induction and training will be provided. This includes training on the SSSC Codes of Practice, the National Care Standards, and how these frameworks apply to your role.

A qualification at SVQ Level 2 (or equivalent), or a willingness to work towards achieving this qualification, is essential.

As these services are registered with the Care Inspectorate, you will be required to pay an annual fee to maintain your registration.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate the values and attitude required to work with people who are living with mental health challenges and who may have complex needs. and be able to work flexibly; some early morning, evening and weekend working may be required.
