The Tannahill Centre is a community-run hub in the centre of Ferguslie Park. Accessible to the whole community, it hosts a Doctor’s Surgery, NHS Clinic, Pharmacy, Library, Nursery and Post Office. The Centre also manages a range of community spaces and, through a community development approach, works with volunteers and partners to meet the needs of local people.

The Tannahill Centre delivers a wide range of community and personal development opportunities, supporting individuals and helping Ferguslie Park reach its full potential. To support and grow our youth work provision, we are recruiting a:

Senior Youth Development Worker, 35 hours per week

£32,622 (funded until September 2028)

As the Senior Youth Development Worker, you will lead and coordinate youth work provision within the Tannahill Centre, supporting young people to participate in volunteering and active citizenship opportunities that build their skills, confidence and aspirations.

You will deliver both group work and one-to-one support, enabling young people to develop personal development plans, gain accredited learning where appropriate, and overcome barriers to participation in their community.

You will also take a lead role in developing and managing youth work programmes, including evening activities, leadership opportunities and school holiday provision, ensuring services reflect the needs and interests of young people in Ferguslie Park.

In this role, you will manage and support youth work staff, sessional workers, volunteers and trainees, while working alongside the Community Development Manager to grow and expand youth provision. This will include developing partnerships, identifying funding opportunities and increasing participation with the aim of delivering a six-day-per-week youth work programme.

You will build strong relationships with local organisations and partners, promote the achievements of young people, and demonstrate the impact of youth work through monitoring, evaluation and storytelling.

Cranhill Development Trust (CDT) is a community-led organisation working to improve the quality of life for people living in Cranhill and the surrounding areas. Primary Purpose of the Job:

Operating within Cranhill Development Trust, the Community Learning Manager will lead and develop the organisation’s community learning provision. The role includes direct delivery of the digital inclusion project and oversight of ESOL classes, accredited training, life skills programmes, and employability support.

The postholder will line manage the Employability Worker and Learning Worker, oversee volunteers, and ensure high-quality learning experiences that help participants build skills, confidence, and progress towards positive destinations.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the role ensures programmes are well-coordinated, responsive to community need, and contribute to improved outcomes in employability, digital inclusion, health, and wellbeing.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Digital Inclusion (Direct Delivery) – Delivery of the digital inclusion project through one to one support and group sessions.
• Training and Learning Programmes – Oversee the deliver of ESOL classes, short accredited courses (e.g. First Aid, Food Hygiene), and life skills courses.
• Work with referral partners, including the Job Centre, to promote opportunities
• Oversee and support volunteers across CDT projects, ensuring positive experiences and skill development

Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting – Maintain accurate programme data using Upshot, monitor participation and outcomes, and produce regular reports to support impact measurement and organisational planning. Contribute to team processes, including meetings and periodic reporting to senior management and the Board.

Person Specification:

Essential

• Experience in community learning, employability, adult education, or social enterprise management
• Experience of managing staff and volunteers, including recruitment, training, and performance management
• Experience of planning, coordinating, and delivering community-based learning programmes
• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple programmes and priorities
• Experience of monitoring, evaluating, and reporting on outcomes and impact
• Willingness to undertake relevant training and professional development

Desirable

• Experience in digital inclusion or digital skills delivery, including one-to-one support and workshops
• Knowledge of ESOL delivery, accredited short courses, or vocational learning opportunities and delivery
• Experience of partnership working with external organisations, training providers, or referral partners
• Understanding of safeguarding, equality, and inclusion in community learning

Are you an enthusiastic, organised and highly motivated individual with youth work experience and have a passion for motorbikes? Then this post is for you. The position will be fixed term for one year in the first instance.

The successful candidate will be required to work as part of an existing team for a well-established youth Motorcycle Project and full training will be given. We work closely with local schools and youth agencies to provide group work and 1-1 programmes for young people. The Project uses off road motorcycles and group work activities to focus and engage young people. A passion for motorcycles and helping young people is a must for this role.

About Bridges Partnership - Glasgow

The Bridges Partnership is jointly provided by Aberlour Glasgow Family Support Service and Shelter Scotland to provide support to mothers and their children living in Glasgow City who are or have been affected by domestic abuse.

What we are looking for....

We are looking for a Child and Family Worker to join our team, working 23.5 hours per week. As this post includes an unsocial hours allowance, you are required to be flexible with your approach and available to work weekends, evenings and public holidays to meet the needs of the families you would support.

As a Child and Family Worker within our Bridges Partnership project you will;

• Undertake risk assessment and work to develop safety plans
• Advocate in statutory meetings, court settings and with other agencies on behalf of women and children who have or are experiencing domestic abuse.
• Using the safe and together model, you will develop reports to be used in courts in relation to civil and criminal proceedings.
• Work in partnership with the parents, either on a 1:1 basis or in groups to enhance their parenting skills and build their confidence
• Work with children and parents in a therapeutic and trauma-based approach to help them reach their full potential.
• Provide housing information and assistance
• Inform women and children of their rights
• Signposting and helping each mother to access additional services as needed.

You will have relevant experience and a sound knowledge of domestic abuse and the impact on the children and adult survivor and relevant theory in attachment and parenting. You should be able to demonstrate an understanding and commitment to women and children’s rights. You will hold a relevant professional qualification at SCQF level 7 or above. It is desired that you are IDDA trained or are willing to work towards this.
