Role

Job Description – We are looking for a responsible Administrator to organize our charity’s day-to-day operations. Your job will be to provide clerical support to our manager and employees and coordinate all daily administrative activities. Ultimately, a successful Administrator should be able to ensure our office procedures run smoothly.

Reports to – General Manager

Location/Working Hours – Part Time – 3 Days Based in Dundee Office

Salary –£15,835.44 for a 21 hrs working hour week.

Asbestos Action (SC033344) was established in 2002 and is a charity committed to helping anyone affected by an asbestos related condition living in the East of Scotland. We offer practical advice, emotional support and guidance to those diagnosed as well as family members or carers. Asbestos Action offers person-centred services directly to those affected as well as campaigning and raising awareness both independently and working with other groups and agencies.

Key Responsibilities

• Answer and redirect calls.

• Involved in offering information/advice for non-malignant asbestos disease

• Book meetings and schedule events

• Maintain internal databases

• Maintain a filing system for data on clients and external partners

• Prepare regular reports and presentations

• Handle queries from managers and employees

• Update office policies and ensure compliance with them

Other Duties

• Always Ensure compliance with Asbestos Action Policies and Procedures.

• Undertake training and development deemed necessary to provide effective support

• Competent IT user, email and Word

• Discretion and awareness of GDPR

• Good Organisational Skills

• Driving Licence and Car. Desirable but not essential

• Knowledge of the Third Sector. Desirable but not essential
