Role
Reporting to the Senior Delivery Manager and based at Celtic Park, Glasgow, this role is a vital part of Celtic FC Foundation’s operations. The Project Coordinator will support the delivery of a wide range of community projects, with a strong focus on poverty alleviation and social inclusion. In addition, the role will involve management responsibility, including the supervision of sessional staff or junior team members to ensure effective and consistent project delivery. The post-holder will work closely with colleagues and participants, ensuring the highest standards of safeguarding, integrity and confidentiality, while helping to create a meaningful and lasting impact in the lives of those we support.
Key accountabilities will include:
- Support the planning, coordination, and delivery of community-based projects aligned with the Foundation’s priority areas of poverty and inclusion
- Act as a key point of contact for project participants, providing guidance, support, and signposting as required
- Supervise and support sessional staff or junior team members to ensure high-quality and consistent project delivery
- Collaborate closely with internal colleagues and external partners to achieve project goals and outcomes
- Monitor project performance and participant progress, contributing to reporting and evaluation processes
- Take personal responsibility for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable children and adults, ensuring all concerns are acted upon appropriately and in line with organisational policy
- Ensure all activities are delivered in accordance with safeguarding, data protection, and health & safety requirements
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with organisational standards and upload to our Salesforce CRM system
- Uphold the values and reputation of Celtic FC Foundation at all times, demonstrating professionalism, empathy, and integrity
- Maintain membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme for both children and adults, as required by the role

Skills and Experience required:
Essential
- Training or certification in safeguarding, mental health awareness, or trauma-informed practice.
- Demonstrable experience in coordinating or delivering community-based projects, ideally within the third sector or charitable organisations
- Experience working with vulnerable children, young people, and/or adults, including knowledge of relevant safeguarding practices
- Experience of supervising or supporting staff in a delivery setting
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders
- Ability to handle challenging situations with professionalism, including managing conflict or distressed individuals with empathy and appropriate boundaries
- Good organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively
- Competence in using Microsoft Office and digital tools for communication and reporting.

Desirable

Support Development Worker

The Support Development Worker has the overall responsibility to develop online and direct support services for survivors of organised/ ritualised abuse and people with mental health problems who are affected by extreme childhood abuse. In particular setting up online and face to face support groups.
Major Tasks
- Recruit, train and supervise volunteers to assist on the project.
- Develop online peer support groups for survivors of Childhood Sexual Abuse who are waiting to access mental health services or unable to access these services.
- Form a steering group and engage with people with lived experience around the design and structure of the groups, exploring policies and risks.
- Identify the needs of survivors through discussions around policy and risk in the ways in which virtual space is used.
- Pilot online support groups and evaluate and demonstrate impact on wellbeing.
- Organise weekly facilitated support groups to provide ongoing practical and emotional support, peer support and a place to come together.
- Develop a programme for group sessions covering issues such as mental health, PTSD, coping skills, alternatives to self-harm, benefits advice, healthy relationships and other issues as agreed by participants.
- Provide 2 groups weekly running for 6-8 weeks aimed at survivors of organised abuse to reduce isolation and loneliness and assist in sharing lived experiences.
- Monitor and evaluate progress to evaluate and learn what works best for survivors and shape future developments.
- Support and encourage survivors to access other agencies and services.
- Carry out on-going consultations and evaluations.
- Develop partnerships with other agencies working with survivors.
- Oversee compilation of reports, including evaluation of statistics.
- Attend meetings and trainings as necessary.
- Any other duties agreed with Management.
Young Carers Pathways Coordinator

We are recruiting a dedicated and compassionate Young Carers Pathways Coordinator, to lead the delivery of a vital mentoring initiative supporting young carers aged 12-20 across Aberdeen.
About the role:
The Pathways Coordinator will work at the heart of a collaborative effort between MCR Pathways, the Aberdeen City Health and Social Care Partnership, and all members of the Carers Strategy Implementation Group to identify, engage and empower young carers, particularly those currently hidden from formal support. Through strong partnerships, trauma-informed practice and community-based outreach, the Coordinator will build trusted relationships with young carers, facilitate group and one-to-one sessions and support consistent, life-changing mentor matches that help young people thrive emotionally, socially, and in their education and future pathways.
Key responsibilities:
- Adapt and test the MCR mentoring model for young carers outside of school settings, developing clear methods, structures, and protocols based on a strengths-based and trauma-informed approach.
- Identify, connect with and build trusted relationships with young carers and their families, while also developing and growing new relationships with private, voluntary and statutory organisations to establish effective referral routes.
- Plan and deliver the mentoring programme, customising it to meet young carers' needs and clearly documenting what works and what doesn't.
- Undertake stakeholder engagement activities to develop non-stigmatised referral methods, manage incoming referrals and provide pastoral support to young carers.
- Drive mentor recruitment, deliver effective inductions and core mentor training, and provide ongoing support and development to mentors.
- Maintain accurate programme and quality assurance records, including data on MCR's database and contribute to performance reports and case studies.
- Proactively contribute to securing key performance targets, feed back programme improvement strategies and participate in team and training meetings.
About you:
- Exceptional ability to build meaningful relationships with young people, education colleagues, volunteer mentors, key partners and local employers
- Awareness and understanding of the principles of safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable adults
- Ability and confidence to present programme information and deliver prepared training sessions to groups
- Ability to work well on own initiative, as part of a team and on a flexible basis in response to young person and organisational need
- An understanding of the challenges and barriers that care-experienced and/or vulnerable young people and young adults may encounter
- Experience or a knowledge of processes to document and evidence good practice and positive outcomes.
You may have experience as a Youth, Community or Advice Worker. You will be an empathetic person who is open minded, non-judgemental, resilient and who is driven to improve outcomes for care experienced and other vulnerable young people.

Partnerships Manager – Highlands

We are looking for a Partnerships Manager, who is based in the Inverness or Moray Firth areas to recruit volunteer mentors both in the community and through forming partnerships with key public and private sector organisations.
You will work closely with our Partnerships Managers across Scotland and England as well as our Communications team, to promote the MCR programme to organisations and individuals. The purpose is to recruit committed volunteers who will mentor a young person in their school for one hour a week during term time for a minimum of one year. Based from home, our Partnerships Managers work closely with the wider MCR team ensuring a balance of autonomy and support. Travel to meetings, events and the Scotland and South East England offices are all reimbursed.
Key responsibilities:
- Recruit volunteer mentors to reach monthly targets both through engagement in the community and with organisations
- Source and attend in person and remote events to recruit volunteer mentors
- Clearly communicate the charity's purpose and the proven benefits to young people and mentors, developing purposeful relationships with prospective mentors and organisations through face to face meetings and presentations
- Work closely with the regional team to tailor mentor recruitment to the needs of your region

Senior Project Officer: East Lothian Council

About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join Sustrans as part of the Connected Neighbourhoods team, working in partnership with East Lothian Council to facilitate a strategic approach to active travel infrastructure development and delivery in the council area, as well as providing support with active travel policies and proposals for the council's planning and pipeline projects.
As the Senior Project Officer, you will be embedded within East Lothian Council, working in partnership with external organisations and across council departments to align policy aims and identify and develop opportunities for investment in active travel. You will support the planning and delivery of active travel interventions and provide expert support and guidance to ensure that walking, wheeling and cycling are integrated into strategies, programmes and projects.
The role is based within the geographical area with regular travel expected to East Lothian Council offices and either Edinburgh or Glasgow hubs.
About you
You should have experience in (at least) one of the following: transport planning, land use planning, urban design, traffic engineering, sustainable transport project delivery.
You will be an experienced project manager able to work collaboratively with multiple partners and stakeholders.
You should have the ability to work independently and be able to make decisions with minimal supervision, as well as have excellent report writing skills.
