The Role:
As our Risk and Assurance Officer, you will work with the Business Improvement Manager on our assurance work, providing business-critical quality information that supports the delivery of our strategic
objectives. You will support our comprehensive programme of improvement activities, utilising insights from performance data, customer feedback, internal audit and risk management to help ensure we drive efficiency, compliance, and enhance the customer experience.
You will collaborate closely with various departments, engaging and influencing stakeholders to understand business challenges and translate them into actionable, results-focused improvements. Your ability to use and deliver improvement methodologies, business processes, and understand customer journeys will be key in making meaningful changes that benefit both our customers and our organisation.
What You’ll Bring:
We are looking for someone with a strong background in project management, improvement methodologies and experience of supporting business change, ideally with experience in a regulated industry like housing, care or local authority. You should have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, a proven track record of implementing cultural change, and the ability to manage and influence stakeholders at all levels.

We are recruiting a Housing Support Officer to join the Support Team in our 83-room residence at Whitefoord House. Located at the foot of the Royal Mile in Edinburgh,
This is a permanent full-time post (37.5 hours/week) working across seven days on a four weekly repeating rota. This post is subject to PVG check.
Whitefoord House offers a dynamic housing support service to assist our Veterans to return to independent living where appropriate. We seek to maximise their independence and provide support to move on to appropriate, permanent accommodation wherever possible. Veterans have their own fully furnished en-suite room and access to all the facilities and support on site. Our facilities include a modern dining room providing all our residents with meals, as well as a gym, community library & and laundry services.

ABOUT YOU
Motivated, dedicated and enthusiastic, you will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of support to our Veterans. With a minimum of three years previous experience working in housing support you will be Professionally qualified and registered with the SSSC, you will hold an SVQ3 (or be working towards). About the Role:
Reporting to the Head of Property Services and leading a team of three Asset Officers, you will be responsible for delivering our asset management plan to the highest standard. This includes overseeing the successful implementation of planned and cyclical maintenance, managing adaptations with a customer-first approach, and ensuring compliance with all contractual, financial, and health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the delivery of planned, cyclical, and adaptation programmes.
- Provide day-to-day management and leadership to the Assets Team.
- Maintain strong collaboration with the Repairs Team Leader and Health, Safety & Compliance Coordinator to deliver seamless service.
- Ensure quality control through regular monitoring of contractor performance and reporting on KPIs.
- Manage budgets, grant claims, and ensure accurate financial records.
- Drive continuous improvement in asset management strategy and service delivery.
- Promote a culture of shared responsibility, accountability, and customer satisfaction.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in asset management, property services, or housing maintenance.
- Strong leadership and line management experience.
- Knowledge of health and safety legislation, CDM regulations, and compliance best practices.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

As a Support Worker, you’ll work as part of a team in providing safe, secure, supported accommodation for the people who use our services. You’ll do this by providing practical and emotional support and encouraging them to achieve their own personal outcomes in all aspects of their daily lives.
Main Responsibilities:
This Support Worker role at our Lanark Service involves working either 35 hours per week or two individuals job sharing with each working 17.5 hours per week on a 8 week rolling rota, covering some weekends. The Support Worker will:
- work as part of a team providing safe, secure, supported accommodation for young people.
- support, review, monitor and evaluate through our case management system, to achieve a positive person-centred outcome for the people we work with in line with organisational, statutory and legislative requirements.
- maintain and update all recording systems and documentation in line with relevant policies, procedures and practice guidelines, including the occupancy agreement, within required timeframes.
- provide, plan and facilitate key work meetings, key work sessions, meetings, reviews and other internal/external meetings in conjunction with the person’s support plan.
- provide general advocacy and advice to the people we support, including assistance to enable them to meet the conditions of their occupancy agreements.
About You:
- To join us, you need to have a genuine passion for helping people.
- Ideally, possess 1 year of experience of working with vulnerable people and challenging behaviour which can be from personal, voluntary and/or professional experience.
- Demonstrated commitment and ability to undertake care practice in accordance with Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) code of practice, National Care Standards, Scottish Commission for the Regulation of Care and the Associations policies and procedures.
- Ability to relate empathetically to people and recognise their right to choice and independence.
