The Role:

The Progressions Coordinator works in partnership with their delivery partner (Youth & Community Coach) in delivering and administering Street League’s core programmes in their specific local areas.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of Street League’s launch in North Scotland working within the Highlands Inner Moray Firth region. The Progressions Coordinator works in partnership with their delivery partner (Youth & Community Coach) to deliver and administer Street League’s core programmes, supporting young people to move into employment, education, or training.

As part of the launch team, you will play a key role in establishing Street League’s presence in the Highlands — developing strong relationships with local partners, employers, and referral agencies to ensure effective programme delivery and sustained outcomes for young people. You will help shape the success of this new area by providing high-quality support and progression pathways that transform the lives of young people through the power of Sport and Education.

You will be responsible for:

1. Securing employment, education and training opportunities for Street League participants and supporting them to progress. You will do this by locally securing and sharing job/training opportunities for young people.

2. The delivery of Street League’s Academy, in which you will deliver group employability and personal development workshops and qualifications.

3. Establishing and maintaining partnerships with referral agencies and develop further partnerships with employers or colleges in order to secure suitable opportunities for our participants.

4. Monitoring and reporting are essential to this role.

The Youth and Community Coach forms part of the Street League Delivery Team and works in partnership with the Progressions Coordinator in delivering and administering Street League’s programmes in their specific local area.

As a Youth and Community Coach, you’ll recruit and engage young people, deliver engaging sport and personal development sessions and support young people to gain the confidence and skills they need to transition into employment, education and training

You’ll work closely with the Progressions Coordinator to bring Street League’s programmes to life in the Highlands, build relationships with local schools, community organisations, and partners, and help establish our presence in this exciting new area.

You will be responsible for:

1. Engaging young people in local communities and online, as well as establishing and maintaining community partnerships.

2. Recruiting and registering young people onto Street League activity.

3. Delivery of community-based street sports, and the Street League Academy Programme.

4. Creative sports and team building activities aligned to Street League’s practice framework and qualifications.

5. Data entry and compliance for all Street League activity.

This is an exciting opportunity to join Apex Scotland at a transformative moment, working alongside our Finance Manager and newly created Finance Administration position. As Finance Officer you will play a key role in providing an inhouse finance function that supports our front-line staff and provides key information to the leadership team. This new role plays a significant part in supporting organisational finance operations including account payable and receivable, bank reconciliations and supporting the Finance Manager with the annual budget.

About you

As the Finance Officer, you will bring experience in a fast-paced finance function and have the ability to manage multiple priorities. You will be highly organised, with strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering work to deadlines and to a high standard. ?

You will have a proactive and solutions-oriented approach, and confident using financial software packages, preferably Xero, and Microsoft 365 packages.
