Lanarkshire Rape Crisis Centre (LRCC); established in 2004, is an independent charity with the objective of relieving the distress and improving the welfare of women and girls who, at any time in their lives, have been subjected to any form of sexual violence. LRCC works collaboratively with 17 Rape Crisis Centres across Scotland who also adhere to National Service Standards.

Today we deliver on the following:

• Provide trauma informed therapeutic support to women and girls who have experienced rape and all forms of sexual violence (aged 12+) as well as their friends, family, partners and workers. We also provide crisis support options for male survivors and survivors of all gender identities.
• Provide advocacy support to those considering or engaging with the criminal justice process; there are 4 justice advocacy practitioner positions currently operating in Lanarkshire. The team manager provides induction, training and ongoing support to this post.
• Work in partnership with communities, partner agencies and other key stakeholders to improve understanding of gender-based violence, provide trauma informed responses to survivors of sexual violence and develop community level prevention initiatives
• Delivers prevention work with young people as part of the Rape Crisis Scotland National Prevention Programme. rapecrisisscotland.org.uk/prevention and specific prevention project work funded by The National Lottery Community Fund.

Background Information: National Advocacy Service

The National Advocacy Service is funded by the Scottish Government, with the fund being administered by Rape Crisis Scotland and delivered by local rape crisis centres. The service aims to provide support and advocacy to survivors who have engaged or are considering engaging with the criminal justice system following a sexual crime. The broad objectives are:

• An improvement in the support available to survivors of rape and serious sexual crime
• An improvement in the experience of the criminal justice process for survivors of rape and serious sexual crime
• The development of a better understanding of motivations whether or not to proceed within the criminal justice process, and what difference advocacy support makes to this decision.

The Centre is based in central Hamilton; however, justice advocacy practitioners spend parts of their working time in locations such as court buildings and police stations. This post is funded by the Scottish Government and is classed as maternity cover for a period of 10 months.

Purpose of the post:

The overall aim of this post is to provide support and justice advocacy to survivors who are engaged, or considering engaging, with the criminal justice system following an experience of sexual violence.

Are you passionate about supporting recovery from domestic abuse? Do you have experience in coordinating and delivering training opportunities? Fife Women’s Aid are looking for a part-time Team Manager to join our supportive management team.

The successful applicant will have at least SCQF Level 8 or equivalent level of qualification in a relevant subject, or equivalent experience and willingness to work towards a qualification.

You will be able to demonstrate experience of learning and development and a knowledge base of trauma-informed practice as well as an ability to work effectively as part of a team.

East Dunbartonshire Women’s Aid (EDWA) is looking for a passionate and skilled individual to lead our early intervention and prevention work with young people aged 11-18. This vital role aims to prevent domestic abuse by promoting healthy relationships and empowering young people to challenge harmful behaviours.

As our Children and Young Person's Prevention Worker, you will design and deliver educational workshops within schools and community settings in East Dunbartonshire. These sessions will address key topics such as healthy relationships, emotional well-being, and challenging misogynistic behaviours. You’ll also collaborate with schools and partner agencies to develop tailored interventions that inspire change and build resilience in young people.

The role involves developing creative resources, engaging with diverse audiences, and keeping on top of emerging trends like the influence of online media. You’ll provide post-session support by signposting further resources or referrals where needed and ensure robust monitoring and reporting to demonstrate the impact of the work.

Candidates should have:

• Experience in delivering engaging educational workshops tailored for young people in schools or community settings.
• An understanding of domestic abuse and gender-based violence, including how social norms and online influences contribute to harmful behaviours.
• A clear passion for working with young people around this subject matter.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills to connect with young people, professionals, and partner organisations.
• A deep awareness and understanding of teenage culture, social media platforms, and emerging trends—including the language young people use, key influencers, and digital spaces. The ability to incorporate this knowledge into workshops in a relatable and impactful way is essential.
• Strong organisational and IT skills, with the ability to create resources, track progress, and report on impact.
• A firm commitment to feminist principles and gender equality

The role will involve work across East Dunbartonshire, particularly in schools. Attendance will be required at weekly team meetings in our main office in Kirkintilloch to fulfil collective management responsibilities. Flexibility and the ability to travel throughout the local area are essential.

This is an exciting and necessary new post which is currently funded by East Dunbartonshire Council through the Children & Families Wellbeing Fund for 1 year (after start date), with the opportunity to reapply in Year 2.

Posts are subject to a successful PVG scheme check, suitable references and completion of a satisfactory 6-month induction period. Applicants must also demonstrate they have the right to legally work in the UK.

SWAN is an autistic-led Charity run for and by autistic women, girls and non-binary people across Scotland.

The post holder will deliver a range of neuro-affirming services and support for autistic women and non-binary people, as well as training and workshops for professionals and allies wishing to develop their knowledge and understanding of autistic people.

The postholder will have at least 2 years’ relevant experience (e.g. group facilitation, 1-2-1 support, peer support, training delivery and/or working with autistic people or other marginalised communities).

For this Lived Experience role, it is essential that the Project Worker is autistic (by formal diagnosis or self-identified). You will need to be comfortable with openly disclosing and discussing related experiences in group and open online sessions, public and professional meetings and in a training context.
