Role

A new and exciting opportunity has arisen at Perth and Kinross Foodbank for a Foodbank Operations Manager role. Based at our York Place premises, the Operations Manager will be responsible for leading the day to day running of the service, ensuring individuals and families experiencing hunger and hardship across Perth and Kinross have access to

practical support and emergency food.

In the face of increasing levels of demand, the Operations Manager will lead the workforce (both paid staff and volunteers), ensuring our people are clear on, and are supported to, deliver their respective roles which collectively contribute to our organisational vision and mission. The postholder will complement the work of the Foodbank Manager to forage a positive, proactive workplace rooted in compassion, justice, dignity, collaboration and an assets-based approach to community development. We are seeking a candidate who is committed to curiosity, continuous improvement, empowerment of others and can demonstrate solution focused creativity and adaptability.

Aside from an experienced people manager, our ideal candidate will be accountable for IT and systems management, operational finances –including the daily processing of transactions, management of petty cash and donations - and the ownership of departmental budgets. We are also looking for someone who has a full and current Driver’s license to support with operations when required.

Perth and Kinross Foodbank is on an evolutionary journey of transformation. The Operations Manager will be key to implementing that change, communicating with an array of stakeholders, contributing to the development of organisational infrastructure and resilience, and aiding the Foodbank Manager in the areas of sustainability and the delivery of our strategic plan.
