Role
The post will be one of a team of development officer posts specifically intended to work closely with Third Sector Organisations (TSOs) throughout the Inner Moray Firth. This role will be focused on capacity building role that will support organisations around their governance, board development, or strategic planning as well as health checks. This role will work with organisations who are starting out, going through difficulty, changing their governance or closing down.
The post holder will be responsible for guiding groups around these topics, ensuring that they are informed of the regulatory and legal information necessary.

The post will provide support and administration for the work undertaken within HTSI around funding distribution to groups. This will include supporting the sharing of information, scheduling of relevant events and sessions, report gathering and support the evaluation and assurance work around each of the different funds. The post holder will be expected to maintain records, provide services and support to funded organisations and to take part in meetings and panels. They will also work with the HTSI Office and Finance Manager to ensure that finance processes are followed competently in the processing of funds.

Community Development Lead

Borders Community Action is seeking a dynamic and highly motivated individual to join our team. This is an exciting role in a fresh dynamic organisation that is looking to maximise the capability of the vital third sector across the Scottish Borders.
The Community Development Lead role includes direct support to local charities, voluntary organisations, and social enterprises by providing guidance on governance, capacity building, and partnership development. A key aspect of the role involves assisting groups with funding applications and pre-assessment of funds distributed by Borders Community Action. The Community Development Lead will also be responsible for promoting volunteering and work with partners to foster collaboration and help drive sustainable social impact.
Strong communication, networking, project management skills and good understanding of grant processes are essential for success in this role. It is expected that a significant proportion of this work will be dedicated to Eastern Borders.
Walking Development Officer (Part-Time, Fixed-Term)

About the Role
Argyll and Bute TSI is seeking a Walking Development Officer to enhance community health, social cohesion, and environmental sustainability through the development of walking initiatives across the region. This role will help strengthen and expand health walk networks, collaborate with key partners, and create accessible opportunities for walkers of all abilities.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and support a regional network of health walk providers and outdoor initiatives.
• Work with community organisations to establish new walking programmes.
• Identify gaps in walking opportunities and design solutions to improve accessibility.
• Deliver Walk Leader training and promote participation through public engagement campaigns.
• Collaborate with environmental groups, health providers, and key stakeholders.
• Secure funding opportunities to ensure the long-term sustainability of walking initiatives.
• Monitor and evaluate programme impact, providing quarterly reports.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
• Experience in community engagement and programme development.
• Knowledge of the health benefits of physical activity and walking initiatives.
• Strong communication, organisational, and project management skills.
• Ability to build partnerships and secure funding for community projects.
• Self-motivation and the ability to work independently.
Some travel across Argyll and Bute may be required. A full driving licence and access to a car would be desirable but not essential.

Currently, the Board of Trustees meet six times a year, normally for no more than two hours, during working hours. There is also an AGM once a year.
The Treasurer is not responsible for the accounts administration - the role is one of review and reporting on the accounts, working with the CEO and others to provide advice and a thorough understanding of the financial position of the organisation to the Board of Trustees and ensuring the security of the charity long term.
The Board is seeking a professional in the area of finance, business or accounting who would have the skills to help report on the financial position of the charity and provide valuable advice in terms of risk, business planning and enterprise developments going forward.
