Role

Calvay Housing Association is a community-based RSL operating in the Barlanark neighbourhood of Greater Easterhouse, Glasgow. The Association's housing stock comprises 868 units, made up from a mixture of improved tenemental properties, new build flats and houses. The Association also provides a factoring service to local owner-occupiers who reside within the Association's area of operation.

Calvay HA has been successful in obtaining grant funding through the Energy Redress Scheme, to fund the role of a Home Energy Advisor for a fixed period (ending 31st January 2027).

Working in partnership with Gardeen Housing Association, we would like an enthusiastic, experienced person to lead on and deliver energy advice, support and advocacy to Calvay Housing Association and Gardeen Housing Association’s most vulnerable households living in fuel poverty and at risk of high energy bills and cold homes.

Free advice aims to empower households with the knowledge to make informed decisions regarding the energy efficiency of their homes, how to use their heating systems, reduce high energy bills, choosing affordable tariffs, manage fuel debt, and liaise with energy providers. This post is office based with support also provided within CHA and GHA households.

Our strategic plan is ambitious as we strive for our vision to ensure that “Calvay will be a well-managed neighbourhood with a good community spirit”. Our Business Plan has been developed with our community at its core and we have robust and significant investment plans, including a major External Wall Insulation programme.

We have an engaged and committed staff team who show a demonstrable desire to support our customers and strengthen the wider community. This role will be part of the Wider Role Team, who deliver a wide range of community services based at CHA’s Calvay Centre and surrounding area.

EVH Conditions of Service, flexible working hours, generous holiday and Pension scheme.
