The General Synod of the Scottish Episcopal Church is looking for a Church Relations and Youth Work Assistant with
strong literacy and digital skills, who can work flexibly to support our activities focusing on Church
relations, interfaith relations and Youth development. You should have some relevant administrative experience,
be highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office tools, and have an affinity with young people, as well as an
interest in church relations and interfaith development work. Being educated to at least SVQ level 5 or
equivalent is desirable, together with relevant experience of administrative work. You must be computer literate
with proficient experience of Microsoft tools.

Salary and benefits
Salary will be on the scale of £22,525-£26,999 (pro-rata if part-time)
Annual leave: 28 days, plus 10 public holidays.
We offer a work place pension, a non-contributory defined pension scheme which allows additional voluntary

Hours and location: This post is offered as a full-time role (35 hours per week); however, a four-day work week will
be considered with pay and holidays adjusted. Our office is located in Edinburgh, easily accessible via public
transport; it also has a small car park. It is expected that the post-holder will work at least three days a
week in the office (office days are negotiable).
