Are you committed to supporting and improving opportunities to those who have experienced or are at risk of entering the justice system? Apex Scotland is embarking on an exciting new chapter developing our strategic priorities that include a renewed focus on fundraising, marketing and communications to enhance the support we offer those we care for and support.
We are seeking a highly motivated experienced fundraising and partnerships specialist to join our team. This new post will take responsibility for working directly with our services to manage and deliver contracts, streamline income and secure grants from this critical source.
This role is pivotal to supporting the organisation’s purpose to make a significant impact on the lives of people who have experience of the justice system or at risk of entering it. You will maximise income generation to deliver brilliant services that are aligned to our strategic ambitions and that create a positive impact on our ability to deliver for the long term.
You will be an excellent communicator, creative, collaborative, proactive, self-motivated and innovative together with understanding and appreciating the impact trauma has on the lives of those we care for and support.
You will be able to build productive and respectful working relationships with the Leadership and Service Delivery teams, to drive forward income generation. You will have a proven track record of managing procurement, tendering and managing contracts.
This role is based in our head office in Edinburgh with hybrid working offered.

About the Role
ACOSVO is a small team with big aspirations and it is a very exciting time to join as a member of our Senior Leadership team. As Head of Operations you will be responsible for the overall success of our operations including planning and processes, finance and resource management, and organisational reporting. You will be responsible for HR, digital, driving membership growth and delivering high levels of efficiency and member satisfaction. As part of the Senior Leadership team you will act as an ambassador for ACOSVO, explore new ways to develop our activities, generate income, and provide line management that maximises peoples potential.
This is a permanent position, working 35 hours per week.
Additional benefits include 25 days annual leave plus 11 public holidays, pension scheme (employer contribution of up to 6%), and death in service at 1 x salary.
The working location for this role is hybrid working from home or our workspace at Greyfriars Charteris Centre, 138 – 140 Pleasance, Edinburgh, EH8 9RR. There will be a requirement to work at other locations in Scotland and these times will be arranged in advance.
We are happy to talk about flexible working such as location and when the hours are worked within our core hours of 8am-6pm Monday to Friday.

Age Scotland is the Scottish charity for older people, working with and supporting thousands of older people across Scotland through our services, our membership network and communities of interest.
The charity has set out an ambitious income generation strategy, seeking to double its income by 2030. The opportunity has arisen for an experienced Head of Commercial Development to join the charity and explore opportunities to develop our commercial revenue stream, including through our established workforce training programmes and other, previously tested initiatives, such as energy provision and financial services products. This work will support our “It’s Not Just a Hospice” appeal and will play a critical role in CHAS’s mission to provide unwavering care to children who may die young and their families.
CHAS’ high-profile events team designs inspiring, unforgettable experiences across Scotland, including our glittering Fawkes-y Ladies Lunch, the annual Rocking Horse Ball, and winter wonderland events in Aberdeen, Glasgow, and Edinburgh.
Joining our newly integrated Partnerships and High Profile Events Team, you will work with a talented and experienced team of professionals who are committed to raising a significant income for CHAS by providing exceptional experiences and stewardship for our supporters and partners.
Your Role at CHAS
As part of our award-winning Income Generation and Engagement Directorate, the High Profile Events Manager will sit within the Partnership and Philanthropy team. You will report to the Senior Partnership and High Profile Events Manager and lead a portfolio of unique and bespoke high profile events to raise significant income for the organisation against pre-agreed targets.
This role will contribute to CHAS’s strategic vision, which includes a fundraising goal of £75 million (including £16.3 million from the major appeal) over the next five years to sustain CHAS’s life-changing work and fund key projects like the Rachel House redevelopment.
About You
To excel in this role, you’ll bring:
• High Profile Events Strategy Development: the ability to devise, implement, manage and evaluate a compelling and irresistible calendar of high profile fundraising events to generate and exceed planned income targets
• Project Management: ability to take responsibility and act as the main appointed CHAS contact for all High Profile event, ensure that they are appropriately planned and project managed to the highest standard.
• High-impact relationship-building skills: Ability to identify and capitalise opportunities for high profile events to be instrumental in the recruitment, cultivation and stewardship of high-level supporters and prospects who will help to expand our networks, further our fundraising propositions and ultimately drive new and increased levels of income into the organisation through other income streams.
• Innovative, commercially minded approach: Talent for identifying new opportunities and creating income targeted events to support growth.
• Passion for CHAS’ mission: A commitment to making a tangible difference for families facing a child’s life-limiting condition.

Sight Scotland is Scotland’s leading charity providing specialist care, education and research for people with vision impairment. The charity has been in existence for over 230 years, and offer a variety of services in the community as well as education, transcription into alternative formats and residential care for adults and children. Their vision is of an inclusive Scotland where people of all visual abilities have the opportunity to thrive. To achieve their mission they are looking for a Supporter Fundraiser who will proactively engage with supporters, community groups and volunteers in the community.
The Digital Mobilisation and Fundraising Specialist is a new post, joining the Fundraising team within a newly formed Cause and Engagement team. It is an exciting time to join with investment in the Fundraising team, a new organisational strategy and direction, and a roadmap for fundraising planned. The charity is recruiting for 5 other fundraising roles alongside this role, including another digital fundraising role.
This post holder will curate, creates and manage digital content for fundraising purposes at Sight Scotland. The role will introduce and test new, innovative digital products and tools that build audience engagement, supports fundraising and campaigning goals and encourages people living with sight loss to contact the charities for support. The role will also manage Sight Scotland’s website and email marketing.
This is the first role of its kind at Sight Scotland. There is a world of opportunity we want this role to explore, and there is budgetary support to test and trial new ideas.
It is important that the successful candidate for this role has existing experience of working within a charity/fundraising environment. In order to ensure the role is successful, an understanding of fundraising and how we can effectively apply digital tools and techniques to support income generation is vital.
