Ocean Youth Trust (OYT) Scotland is a leading voluntary organisation and youth work charity. For 25 years, we have been transforming the lives of disadvantaged young people through residential youth work voyages. To date, the Trust has supported more than 15,000 young people aged 12-25 from a range of backgrounds and circumstances across Scotland.
We firmly believe that all young people – particularly those facing deprivation, social isolation and exclusion – should have the opportunity to realise their full potential and lead healthy, fulfilling lives while contributing to their community.
For more than ten years, OYT Scotland has been a proud partner of the Scottish Government’s CashBack for Communities programme, which reinvests criminal assets recovered through the Proceeds of Crime Act (POCA) and invests in projects delivering positive futures for our young people. This programme is aimed at changing the attitudes and behaviours of those most at risk of anti-social behaviours, offending/reoffending, entering the criminal justice system, and those who have been impacted by Adverse Childhood Experiences and trauma.
We are looking for an individual who is passionate about working with young people to join our team as a Youth Development Worker and help deliver this project. The ideal candidate will bring energy, creativity, and a commitment to helping young people overcome challenges and reach their full potential. If you are passionate about empowering young people and creating a lasting positive impact, we’d love to hear from you.
