You’ll be helping disabled people feel unstoppable. As a Community Fundraiser you’ll be right at the heart of our team’s efforts to make sure no one affected by spina bifida or hydrocephalus feels alone.

Each year, we aim to raise over £100,000 through Community Fundraising to support our essential services. Your mission will be to generate income by engaging with businesses, community groups, third-party challenge events, and volunteer-led fundraising efforts across the Central Belt of Scotland (including Edinburgh and Glasgow).

Reporting to: Director of Fundraising

Place of Work: Hybrid office/home-working model with base being the Dan Young Building, Dullatur G68 0LS. Occasional travel within Scotland to accommodate needs of fundraising.

Working Hours: The post can be full time (35 hours) or Part Time (28 hours). Normal work hours are 9.00am to 4.30pm. The role will necessitate working some hours out with normal office hours, including evening and some weekends.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

To be as unstoppable as the people we support.

• Implement the Community Strategy, delivering effective, exciting and appropriate fundraising activity including the development of a Farmers Market Scotland wide.

• To be responsible for the organisation of a well-established Ladies Lunch event

• Proactively recruit individuals and teams for third party challenge events i.e. Kiltwalk.

• Proactively develop and nurture relationships with potential funders and fundraisers e.g. businesses, community groups and individuals.

• Identify and follow up opportunities to secure non-cash or in-kind support, e.g.

volunteering, pro bono support, donations of equipment.

• To be responsible for the stewardship of supporters.

• Co-ordinate the recruitment and appropriate use of volunteers to support local

Fundraising.

To be innovative and creative in your role.

• Working with the Head of Communications & Marketing devise a communications plan to promote Community Fundraising initiatives.

• Identify potential PR opportunities.

• Work closely with Direct Services colleagues to involve them in building relationships with supporters and in fundraising activities as required.

A commitment to continuous learning and improvement.

• Provide regular analysis of income and impact.

• To gather data and feedback to learn from failures and apply learning to improve processes and applications.

• Ensure that all donor and prospect records are maintained and updated accurately and promptly on Raiser’s Edge and that record keeping is compliant with the charity’s Data Protection Policy.

Operated by ENABLE Glasgow, Fortune Works is one of Scotland’s largest social enterprises which provides meaningful opportunities for people with a learning disability within Glasgow and surrounding areas. The service combines accessible social and enterprising activities with individualised support for people to make a positive contribution to their community.

The Support Assistant duties will include supporting positive person-centred activities which support people with a learning disability to play a worthwhile economic role as a valued member of the local community.

The successful candidate will provide a high quality of care and support for service users with a range of learning disabilities and will encourage participation in group activities to support people to gain skills and confidence. They will also play a part in the effective operation of a busy service. Most importantly they should have a positive and empowering approach to supporting people with learning disabilities.

Please note: We currently have one full time Support Assistant Post available (35 hour pw).

As indicated sessional hours are also available.

The shift pattern for the full time Support Assistant role is Monday to Friday 9am - 4 pm with a 30-minute lunch. 20 days holiday to start, and 13 Public Holidays.

Successful Candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme.

At Aberlour we listen to understand what our young people want and need within our local area. As such, our service in Glenrothes supports young people with learning disabilities and/or autism to live and thrive within the local community.

What we are looking for....

As a Young People’s Worker, you will play a fundamental role in our young people’s lives to ensure that they get the best possible experience whilst working towards goals in their care plan. Using a person-centred approach, you will provide enabling support ensuring the highest level of physical and emotional care; supporting our young people in their daily living and within the local community.

If you have an interest in working with young people, we would like to hear from you. We are looking for 3 Young People’s Workers to work part time (15 hours per week).

These hours will be worked as part of a 24/7 residential rota, which will include mornings, evenings, nights, weekends and public holidays. You will also be expected to do sleepovers.

Ideally, candidates will have social care experience, an understanding of autism, complex needs and disability. You will hold, or be willing to work towards, a relevant professional qualification at SCQF level 7 or above (for example: SVQ 3 Social Services (Children and Young People) plus an HNC) together with relevant experience of working with children or young people. You must also be able to demonstrate awareness of the key elements of working with people affected by disability as well as an understanding of, and commitment to, young people’s rights.
